| Graz | Lendplatz or near train station. Posted: Fri October 24, 2003 08:50 AM UTC
Hi,
I hope someone will reply to me. I have found two accommodation within my budget. One is at Lendplatz with view of the Schlossberg, and the other one near the train station along Eddenburg Gurtel. As I am travelling alone, can anyone tell me which is safer in terms of safety at night? This is my first time visiting Graz, and after reading so many stories about the safety at areas near train stations around Europe, I am wondering if it is safe around the train station in Graz? Thank you in advance. Lina |

Hi everyone,
I will be visiting Graz on 13 December and leaving on 14 December. Since I will have some time, I am interested in some VTers out there. Are there any VTers interested to meet up for a cuppa coffee and sightseeing around the city center? Hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Lina |

| Graz | Graz on 13 December 2003. Posted: Wed October 15, 2003 01:25 PM UTC
Hello everyone...
I am planning to visit Graz for the weekend on 13 Dec to 14 Dec. As airtickets to Graz is cheaper than to Salzburg, and Graz looks like a beautiful city on VT, I have decided on Graz. I am wondering whether there will be a Christmas market in Graz? I am interested in visiting a Christmas market. I have checked www.graz.at, but there's no indication of a Christmas market there. Anyone interested to meet up? Regards, Lina |

| Graz | Snow at Christmas in Graz (back on the hunt) Posted: Tue September 9, 2003 02:21 PM UTC
My wife, youg daughter and myself are in search of snow this Christmas. And to tell you the truth, it's becoming a real pain. We had our hopes dashed a number of times by missing out on charter flights - acoomodation letting us down.
We've looked at Salzburg, Vienna (which is still do-able - but liklihood of snow is low), Zurich, and, Warsaw and Krakow (which still might also be do-able, but I'm not sure about flights) We almost made it with Berchtesgaden, but again, we lost the flight we were counting on before we could sort the apartment out. Now I'm looking at Graz. I've read very good things about it, and as of now we can get a flight. What's the liklihood of snow. I've checked out general climate and that puts the temperature in range, but not real mention of snow. Anyone know? Also, what's it like for apartments? anyone know any good, child-friendly ones? Thank for all the help. |

| Graz | Thank you, Graz! Posted: Sun April 13, 2003 05:20 PM UTC
As a fan of the University of Minnesota's ice hockey team (USA), I just want to thank Graz for sending us our star player, Thomas Vanek. Thomas scored the tie-breaking goal in the national semi-finals and the go-ahead goal in the finals to lead the Gophers to their second straight national championship!
Thank you, Graz!!! |

| Graz | Hotel Bokan Exclusiv Posted: Sun April 13, 2003 04:48 AM UTC
Hello everyone. I am traveling to Austria soon and will stay a few nights at Hotel Bokan Exclusiv in Graz. I have looked at the hotel's website, but there is not much information. Are any of you familiar with the hotel? What is it like? How far is it from the center of Graz? Also, are there anti-smoking rules in Austria?
