Hi, I'm trying to organise a trip to Graz this summer. We're a family of 6 so I'm really looking for self catering, farm or B&B within a 20km radius of the city. Any recommendations or ideas as to where to look? Thanks

From Graz to Munich Posted: Mon November 10, 2008 10:58 PM UTC
I will be visiting Graz this month. I want to meet a friend in Munich at the end of my trip or perhaps in the middle. I'm not sure which is the best option, but in trying to figure these things I out I wanted to ask. My question is should I take a train from Graz to Munich and fly back to the US from Munich? And how long will the train ride be?

Good weekend trips from Graz.... Posted: Wed July 25, 2007 09:34 PM UTC
I will be in Graz for three weeks in August working as an au pair while the family is on vacation. I am 21, not a really big party animal. Not really looking for clubs or bars. Just wanted to know the must-sees in Graz. Also, I have the weekends off, so thought about traveling to Salzburg or Slovenia. Any suggestions for a good SAFE weekend trip. Don't speak much German either. Somewhere with reasonable accomodations, like hostels, and with lots to see. Would welcome any help. I love architecture, geology and like to learn about history. Quick trips in Graz for the afternoons would be good suggestions too...

Train to and from Graz Posted: Mon May 15, 2006 03:01 PM UTC
Hello,
I'm trying to book a return train trip from Vienna to Graz on the oebb website. I thought I'd go first class (what the hell, I'm on holiday) but it states that on my return there is no first class but I will travelling in a Grossraumwagen, which I understand is like a trailer tram. I don't mind travelling in a tram, I just don't want to pay a 1st class price for one! I'm confused. Is an IC train smaller than an OEC train?
I would be very grateful for any help on this matter,
Many thanks
Tony

I am moving to Graz in May for a year to be an au pair. I was wondering if there are any other au pairs in the area? Also, what there is to do in Graz(travelling, nightlife ect), and what the people and culture are like.
If someone could give me some insight into this, than it would be muchly appreciated. Thanks so much! :)

Will it still be snowing Posted: Wed February 1, 2006 05:17 PM UTC
in early March when my husband and I will be in Graz. He thinks I need to bring waterproof shoes/boots due to the snow. Do you think this is wise? I was under the impression that Graz would be experiencing spring at that time. Perhaps the western part of Austria would still have snow? We may visit that region also.
Thanks for your help.

Snow Posted: Fri January 13, 2006 04:42 PM UTC
I will be visiting Graz 3-5 February, and I was just wondering if there is anyone that will know if it might snow during that time??
I do love snow, and hope to see some on my first visit to Austria.
Oh and also, it is correct to say that you can catch a train from the airport direct to the main city centre train station??
Thanks all, much appreciated

Sights and restaurant suggestions please! Posted: Sat August 6, 2005 11:28 PM UTC
I have a friend who plans to go to Graz. She has two questions that she would like to get your input for:
If you were really into the built heritage, what would be the places to walk round in Graz?
and
Which restaurants did you like best in Graz? Money no object.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Hi everybody. Posted: Thu December 16, 2004 11:26 PM UTC
I will (hopefully) be starting a new job in Graz in January and would appreciate any information you could give me. In particular, I would be looking for info on accomodation - what would I expect to pay for an apartment or room somewhere - and anything else helpful!
It's good to hear all of the good stories about safety - thats a thumbs up!!
