Zell am See Christmas in Austria
Posted: Thu August 30, 2007 10:00 AM UTC
Hi! This year I'm thinking of spending my Christmas vacations with some friends in Austria. The thing is that I'm a very confused: Some friends told me that if I want to spend traditional Christmas I have to go to Kitzbuhel. Some others told me that if I like snow St.Anton would be ideal. Another friend told me that I should visit Zell am See because it's a bigger city and we will have more things to do than in Kitzbuhel or St Anton. Please help!!!

Zell am See Bus from Zell am See to Grossglockner
Posted: Tue March 6, 2007 01:51 AM UTC
Anyone of you have taken the bus (operated by OBB Postbus) from the town of Zell am See to Grossglockner Frank Joseph Hohe (to view the snow mountains) and back?

My wife and I will be taking this bus on the morning of 7th june 2007, and is wondering whether we need to reserve any seats beforehand? This is because it is a once-a-day bus and we are afraid that it might be fully booked when we get there. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Victor

We are looking to get married in Zell next year and are wandering whether it is possible to arrange the ceremony independently or whether we have to go through a tour operator? We would also like to hear from anyone who has married in zell.

Zell am See Ski schools
Posted: Sun January 14, 2007 07:50 PM UTC
Hi,

We will be going to Zell am See for the first time. I see there are 3-4 ski schools. Does anybody know where they are located? We are located in Bahnhof-Str. 5, in the centre of Zell am See. We are looking for the closest school for our kids (7 and 9 years old).

Thanks for your reactions.

Best regards, Ulrik

Zell am See any advice for 1 st time skiers
Posted: Fri December 15, 2006 11:58 PM UTC
we are new to skiing, a family of 2 adults and 3 kids 3, 7 and 9 years.
The lift passes look rather expensive, is there any suggestions how to be cost effective.
I expect that kids will be in ski school, will they need lift passes? Or is that usually included in ski school cost.
I doubt if my wife and I will be skiing everyday so is it better to buy a day pass as and when we need one?
Do you need a ski pass to use the nursery slopes? do you need the pass for free buses to lift?
where are the best ski hire deals? saw one stating 2 adult ski hires and kids under 10 are free hire, is this the norm?
Any other advice would be appreciated
