Blackpool Where to park for cheap/ free at Blackpool
Posted: Thu May 25, 2006 10:11 AM UTC
Hello fellow-virtual tourists,
I am planning a trip to Blackpool this bank holiday weekend (27 May 06) but am wondering about parking in the town.

Where is the cheapest place to park?
Free is preferable but I suspect that would be asking too much!

Also we are fans of Chinese food -- is there an all-you-can-eat chinese buffet somewhere?

Thanking you all in advance...

Blackpool Two questions about Blackpool
Posted: Tue May 23, 2006 09:00 PM UTC
Hi,

I am staying in Blackpool for some hours
(coming from Manchester and flying back home to Girona, Spain
from Blackpool Airport). Two questions:

1) I have some 5 hours to spend in Blackpool (I arrive in Blackpool North
station) at noon, and leave at 8 pm.
Is there any suggestions of something to do?
(place to visit or to stroll along).

2) Can I go from the city centre to the airport by some local bus?
(I was suggested to take a taxi..).

Cheers and thanks!!

Blackpool Children
Posted: Tue May 16, 2006 03:53 PM UTC
Last year I visited Blackpool and this year I will be there with my girlfriend and eight year old son again in June. Finding somewhere to drink that allows children was most difficult and one pub we did find in an amusement arcade closed about ten. We found a couple of social clubs, The Loco and The Philarmonic that catered for kids, but shouldn't the most popular seaside resort in Britain be more accomodating? What will foreign visitors make of the prehistoric rules regarding children. Surely there must be bars with family rooms? Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Blackpool CHEAP B&B NEEDED IN BLACKPOOL
Posted: Mon April 24, 2006 12:03 PM UTC
Hi!

Will be coming to Blackpool for Radiohead concert 12 May, plus a day at the pleasure beach. Will be driving up from Dorset, so we need a cheap & cheerful B&B/hotel pref with parking. I have visited blackpool before and saw loads of B&B's offering accommodation at around £9 a night, but no idea where they were! Does anybody have any ideas of specific B&B's or a road name to try? Ones in the Blackpool Tourism brochure start at around £20 a night..but this trip needs to be as cheap as poss and I'm sure there must be cheaper B&Bs out there!

Any help/advice would be great! Also info on where may be cheap/free to park the car.

Blackpool Hotel Recommendation?
Posted: Sat April 22, 2006 06:50 AM UTC
Hi there,

We are going to be in Blackpool to see Radiohead in May. I'm making a flying visit to the UK so I want to make sure the two nights in Blackpool are well spent. Anyone have any good recommendations for stylish boutique hotels of the 3 1/2 to 4 star range that have great rooms and good access to all the fun? I'm looking forward to the typical Blackpool seaside resort fun, but we want to have a nice little haven in amongst it.

Thanks!

Blackpool Weekend in Blackpool
Posted: Tue October 25, 2005 08:37 PM UTC
Four of us (2 girls and 2 guys in their 20s) are thinking of driving to Blackpool for a long weekend at the end of November. Is the town still really fun that late in the season, or will it be a waste of a long drive? Any suggestions for things to do / places to stay would be well apreciated!
Thanks!

Blackpool Haunted buildings in Blackpool, the Pleasure Beach and the Tower Ballroom
Posted: Fri October 14, 2005 02:35 PM UTC
Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I am doing a college project about ghosts and haunted buildings. I would like to know if there is any spirits (apart from the alcoholic kind) at the Blackpool Tower ballroom, Pleasure Beach and elsewhere? I hope you didn’t mind me asking, I just wanted to present something a bit different. I also know that Living TV’s ‘Most Haunted’ have done something at the ballroom and picked up several things. Thanks very much, any help would be most appreciated.

Blackpool Looking for a job... and for your help!
Posted: Thu June 23, 2005 05:52 PM UTC
Hi there,
My name is Jack, i'm a 21yr old student from Poland... and now i have summer holidays... so i decided to spent it in UK. My choice is Blackpool... becuse i really like this town... i've read a lot about this place in on the web and seen a lot of pictures!
I'm planning to come and work, improve my english skills and... just have a fun.
I'll be in Blackpool on Sunday... and on Monday i'll start looking for some job... for about 9 weeks!

So i have some questions for You:

Do You know where i should start looking for work?
(normal simple work... can be a physical work)

In which part of Blackpool is the best chance to find something?

In what sort of business is the best (for sb like me)...
I mean... hotel? bar? pub? (my english is good)

If you have any good ideas... or if you'd like to give me some helpful tip or advice... i'll be very grateful!

Best Regards,
Jack W.

Blackpool All possible friends in Blackpool, thank you
Posted: Sun April 3, 2005 02:46 PM UTC
As nobody answered me by now, i imagine you people in blackpool are affraid to make new friends. It's ok, but you know this is possible only in England, don't you? Have you ever been in Spain? You should, so you will understand what means a latin country...maybe you're too cold, maybe you're entirely frozen...
