Blackpool Blackpool Accommodation During the Rebellion Punkfest August 7th - 10th 2008
Posted: Fri July 25, 2008 09:56 AM UTC
Can any of youse eggheads give me any indication of how easy/difficult it'll be for me to find pleasant but inexpensive guesthouse accommodation (with ensuite) in August during the Rebellion Punkfest (7/8/9/10th)?

What mistakes shouldn't I make? I'm guessing that I may be emerging from the Winter Gardens at around 2.00 a.m. each night so public transport'll be thin on the ground and also yer average guesthouse won't relish punters coming back in at such a late hour, will they?

I'll need to be within walking distance of the Winter Gardens, won't I? Which probably means the most popular hotels will be in that area and they'll all be booked up.

And do the locals beat the crap out of punks who wander around late at night? Or is every night party night in Blackpool in August, with jolly persons filling the streets till 4.00 a.m., exchanging good-natured banter and witty repartee as opposed to kicking people's heads in?

Blackpool THE CLIFTON HOTEL
Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 08:56 AM UTC
Is the Clifton Hotel on Talbot Square open or not? Hotel booking companies are still advertising it and some state that it has been closed for 2 years or more. No wonder business in Blackpool is so bad when nobody knows which hotels are open !!!

Blackpool Age Groups
Posted: Mon July 9, 2007 06:00 PM UTC
Hiya, i was just wondering
1) if you could give me an idea of things that 16-17 year olds can do on a holiday in Blackpool.
And also...
2) What children age 11-13 can do on holiday in blackpool.

I was just thinking of things that there are other than the waxworks and the pleasure beach. Especially for the 16-17 year olds.

Thanx.

Blackpool Where to go and stay in November, and how do you get from Blackpool to Liverpool Airport?
Posted: Tue July 3, 2007 02:32 AM UTC
Hoping someone can tell me where is a decent place to stay and some of the good pubs in Blackpool. I know I'm not going during the best of times weather-wise, but nevertheless I will be there in Early November. I need a place to stay. Doesn't necessarily need to be the Ritz Carlton, but then again I don't want the Bates Motel either. Something decent for a modest price. I'm looking for something near the Empress Ballroom-somewhere within reasonable staggering distance because I will be drinking heavily celebrating the reunion of the Verve, which is why I will be in Blackpool in the first place. Also, I wouldn't mind knowing what the best combination of reliability and economy is for getting from Blackpool to Liverpool Airport, as I have a flight to Latvia the next day. Whoever can help out the best wins an ice cold pint of your choice, personally paid for by me. :)

Thanks,

Blackpool Where to begin weekend of the 23rd March - cool and gay in Blackpool!
Posted: Thu March 8, 2007 01:04 PM UTC
Hi

we are two 23ry old guys fying out to prague on Sunday 25th March. Since were gonna be in town weve decided to make a weekend of it and sample a bit of the Blackpool gay scene which weve heard is one of the best in the North West!!

Problem is neither of us have been to town before and so are at a bit of a loss of where to begin??

Can anyone please recommend somewhere Cheap/friendly/and cool to stay (inportance in that order!) fairly central to where its all happening??

Can someone also recommend some clubs fopr us to check out?? - into house, electro and all things funky!

Thanks a million Guys!

Blackpool Hotel Name!
Posted: Sat December 16, 2006 11:01 PM UTC
A friend recommended a hotel in Blackpool at which they stayed at a long while ago for which they mentioned the name. For the life of me I cannot remember what it was called - old age!

I do remember her mentioning that it was owned by the Gordon family and has around 200 rooms, but thats about it.

Could anyone please let me know if you know which hotel this is?

Thanks.
