Christchurch Weather and time
Posted: Sun July 20, 2008 04:24 PM UTC
Hi,

Planning to go to New Zealand (South Island) in late Nov (soemtime 21-29 Nov). What is the weather like then? Is it cold? What time does it get dark and what time does it get bright in the morning? In the mist of working out my driving itinerary. Thanks for your help

Christchurch Who knows about otahuna lodge, the Charlotte jane and Sign of the Takahe Christchurch
Posted: Mon June 16, 2008 07:57 AM UTC
I'm thinking of getting married in NZ, but have never been as I live in Sydney OZ. I want the whole European looking scenery, with mountains/lakes and green lawns etc... and as I will not be able to check it out for myself before I get married, I would really appreciate anyone who knows about these properties.
Thanking you in advance so much. :)

Christchurch Would 2-1/2 days only scratch the surface?
Posted: Thu May 22, 2008 03:41 AM UTC
I have a possibility to visit Christchurch, but it would only be for ~2.5 days. I won't go if that is only scratching the surface of what the area offers. How much time would you recommend?

New Brighton Looking for a great place to live
Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 01:21 AM UTC
We want to move to New Brighton to live shortly and would like to know from people who live there where they would consider to be the most favourable spots to choose a home in and possibly any parts to avoid for any reason, eg boy racers, noise, flooding etc. We flatted by the beach in the 70's but it's so different now. Would apprieciate the locals advice.

Christchurch How's Visiting South Island by Campervan in July?
Posted: Wed April 23, 2008 03:26 AM UTC
I am planning a 3 week's family (2 adults/2 kids) trip to NZ for this July. One friend recommended me by campervan, which is the way I haven't experienced before. But is it OK to drive further south in NZ winter time? Will it be too cold to sleep in the Campervan in July?

Thank you in advance.

Christchurch Christchruch and South Island in winter
Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 09:09 AM UTC
My wife and I are planning to fly in to Christchurch in late July-early August and are considering renting a car to take in some of the sights. My question is whether most of the better sites will be accessible at that time of year or are likely to be closed due to snow and ice conditions.

Christchurch Seeking advice on winter trip to Christchurch and area
Posted: Mon March 17, 2008 09:47 AM UTC
We're going to be in Australia in July and August and were wondering whether a trip to Christchurch and surrounding area would be worthwhile in August or woujld it be really cold there at that time of year. Would it be advisable to rent a car or would many of the roads be impassable due to snow?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Would you please forward a way we could send them this wonderful photo

Christchurch Booking of accommodation in advance
Posted: Sun October 21, 2007 02:13 PM UTC
Hi,
my wife and I will be visiting Christchurch for the first time in Nov. We are not sure whether we should book our accommodation in advance. We are planning to stay over nite in a few places like Christchurch, Queenstown, Wanaka and Hamner Spring from 18 to 22 Nov. Are these dates school holiday? When is the school holiday in NZ?
We'll be staying in budget motels / backpackers. If you have suggestions on reasonable rates, please advise. TQ
