I have been searching the train site - metlink - and it seems - to my horror - that there are no trains from Wellington to Featherstone with bus link to Martinborough on the weekends!!! Can someone confirm this? Thanks.

... with my aged mother who is not terribly mobile.
We will be travelling by train and then bus from is it Featherstone? I'll have to check how all that works out. Thing is we need a cheap place to stay close to the centre, as we have no car, and she can't walk far. I am picking it would be cheaper mid week? If you can help, great. And thanks. |

Can anyone please recommend some hotels to stay in whilst visiting Martinborough?
I'm happy to spend up to NZ$120 per night (I need a double room for 2 nights). |
