Posted: Sun May 1, 2005 03:07 PM UTC
Hi,

Can anyone help me with this? We want to travel from London to Dover and stay a few days in Dover. What we would like to know is how do we get from London to Dover and how much does it cost, and where do we stay in Dover and how much does that cost?

Thank you

Dover Calais to Dover and then London
Posted: Thu April 21, 2005 02:24 AM UTC
Hello everyone!

Our much awaited trip is coming up next month! We were thinking that instead of going back to Paris (we're doing a little road trip in France after we see Paris) to take the Eurostar back to London, it would be neat to leave our rental car in Calais and take a ferry to Dover - see the cliffs! then head back to London. What do you think? Is it too much of a hassle? Is it something relatively painless to do? Not sure how to check on trains to go back to London from Dover.

There will be four of us - hubby, son (he's 13) and me, plus the mum=in-law! We'll have luggage too. Any suggestions would be so appreciated.

Thanks,

Naya

Dover Dover to France and then some....
Posted: Wed April 20, 2005 01:27 PM UTC
I need some help with which ferry is best for getting our car from the UK over to Calais. Is one better than another or cheaper? I know the Eurotunnel from Folkestone is probably the most expensive method and probably don't want to go that way. Now once in France, how long should it take to drive down to Provence - Louberon area? Should we plan to do this all in one day or break up the journey? We're planning the trip for mid-September.

Thanks for any help.

Dover Luggage Storage in Dover
Posted: Thu September 16, 2004 05:55 PM UTC
I will be arriving in Dover on the 22nd of September via train, and will not depart on the hoverspeed until later that afternoon. In the meantime, I would like to tour the castle, but cannot figure out what I will do with my luggage. Are there any storage facilities in town?

Dover Heathrow to Dover and back

I am arriving at Heathrow with 2 children, and need help with luggage, and reliable private transportation to seaport in Dover, and to return to Heathrow.
Possibly, going by Bath and Stonehenge on return to Heathrow - 12 days later.

Dover Dover: Transfers from Train to Ferry; Sightseeing
Posted: Thu April 3, 2003 06:03 AM UTC
What is the best way to get from Dover Priory Station to the ferry terminals (East Harbour)? Also, how long does it take? How far is Dover Castle from the center of town and is it possible to walk the distance (recommended route)? Finally, can anyone recommend an inexpensive, but enjoyable place to eat in Calais? We'll be in each town for just a few hours (three in Dover and four in Calais).
