Hi,

I will be arriving in Dubai at 1835 with Singapore Airlines and departing for Muscat with Swiss at 2130.

Do I have enough time to clear customs etc in Dubai and check in for the onward flight?

For a variety of reasons would prefer not to remain in transit.

I have been reading through the forum with interest and have found lots of useful information.

One particular topic covered walking to various places in Deira from Hyatt hotel. I think this gives me an idea of distances over this side. What would be the distance to say the clock tower from the Hyatt and how long would it take?

I will be traveling to Dubai in October and staying for 10 days. I have Celiac Disease and must eat a Gluten Free diet. Gluten Free basically means I cannot eat anything containing wheat, oats, rye, or barley. I've been searching for information on Gluten Free shopping and restaurants but have found nothing so far. Is Dubai celiac friendly? If I simply go to a restaurant and explain my needs will they be understood? Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Planning a stopover in Dubai next March but not sure which area to stay in. Being Australian, we don't need to do the beach - more interested in history, culture, food and a bit of shopping. Should we stay in Deira or Bur Dubai, (which I have read is close to the airport so is it noisy?). Any hotels you would recommend?

I am Pakistani passport holder and travelling by Emirates Airline.

My flight will arrive (from Milan) in Dubai airport on dtd 25th Oct @ 23:45 and the next Emirates flight (for Lahore) departure from Dubai on dtd 26th Oct @ 22:05.

So i think i have practically 8 to 9 hours free at airport.

-What are the suggestions/recomendations to spend these free hours within the airport (exclude sleeping advices) ???

OR

-Am i allowed (remember i have Pakistani Passport) to get any little duration entry to go out of airport to meet a friend and then come back , if so then how ???

OR

-Is there any way that i call my friend at airport and met him without going out of airport ??? (i fear that Dubai people do not allow me to go out from airport)

Please visited 2 times Dubai before and 2 times was in transit at airport but at that time stop over time was short......

HI I need to try and find a timetable service as I believe there is a shuttle bus between Dubai and Sharjah. I am arriving into Dubai at 6am and need to get to Sharjah airport by 8am, I think this should be possible but can anyone please advise if they have had to do this before and recommend a website that i can find some information. There maybe 10 of us doing this so any advice apprecaited !

I'm going to Dubai just for a night and I would rather spend my time in Dubai than in the Airport. The think is that I can't find if I can do some turism.

I arrive on a monday at 11pm and the next flight departs at 8, is there something do? How can I go from the airport to the city?
