Glencoe hospital Posted: Sun October 24, 2004 01:46 AM UTC
Can anyone email a photo of the old Glencoe hospital? I recently visited Glencoe, took photos and downloaded them onto a portable CD writer but found out, on return to OZ that they were the only ones that did not copy properly.

Tours From Inverness to Edinburgh Posted: Wed September 29, 2004 05:30 PM UTC
Hi, Im looking to be in Edinburgh for Hogmanay, and am wondering if there are any bus tours that have a start in Inverness that go past Loch Ness, through the Isle of Skye and down through the highlands to Edinburgh, rather than the common return route from Edinburgh? ANy help in pointing me in the right direction would be great Cheers

Culloden and Loch Ness Questions Posted: Thu August 12, 2004 10:32 PM UTC
Hi,
I'll be travelling to Scotland this month and I'm going to spend a couple of days in Inverness. This is my first time there so I hace a couple of questions:
I'd like to go to Loch Ness and I thought it would be a good idea to go by bus from Inverness to Drumnadrochit. My question is: Once I get to Drumnadrochit, do I have to take another bus to Loch Ness or can I go walking?
And I also want to go to Culloden Battlefield, so is it possible to go there by bus from Inverness?
If someone could also give me any bus company names it will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your help!!!
Cheers, N.

My first trip to Scotland and I am so excited!!! I am wondering how long it takes to drive from Edinburough to Iverness if I first drive along the coast through St. Andrews taking 2-3hrs to enjoy the cathedral and the view. Of course I will stop at Glamis Castle. Should I count on staying in Pitolcry or am I spreading myself to thin Just Not Enough Time Brandy

Castle Kilravock Posted: Wed November 26, 2003 01:58 PM UTC
About 20 years ago I stayed at Castle Kilravock near Inverness, and was very impressed...18 pounds a night then, but I see by their web site that inflation has taken its toll...22 pounds now!
My question: They had a squash court then, which unfortunately I was unable to use on my prior stay.
So my questions:
1) Has anyone stayed there of late? How was the experience? 2) Is the squash court serviceable?
(I've e-mailed them, but no answer yet.)

Getting to the Loch from Inverness Posted: Wed May 28, 2003 07:23 PM UTC
We're using the train from London to Inverness as a way to nap and cope with jet lag during our first day in Britain. We really don't have much time in Inverness (one evening and one morning), and I would like to take the family for a hike or outing so we could get a view of Loch Ness. How does one do this from Inverness? Do we hire a taxi to take us to a hiking spot, or do public busses carry us to a place where we can see the countryside and Loch Ness?

How far is the drive from Inverness to...? Posted: Wed March 19, 2003 01:07 AM UTC
I'm going to be taking a vacation in Scotland this summer, flying into Inverness and then visiting a friend of mine who lives nearby. Before I get to her place, I have 3-4 days to run around on my own. I'll be getting a car for this, and what I'd like to know is: where can I go in this space of time? My friend suggested Lewis, Mull, Islay, or some other island on the west coast. How long will it take me to get over there from Inverness (I'm assuming there are car ferries)? Any other suggestions on where to go? On my previous Scotland trip, I only visited Edinburgh, so I'm excited to be getting up north. I'd like to see some nice scenery.
