It has been raining since morning and we are reluctant to live the villa to go for dinner to the local restaurants. Do you know if there is a good Turkish take away in Kalkan?
Can anyone suggest if 18 months old baby can undergo asthma treatment in Alanya's famous cave. And what is a good place - hotel or apartment- to stay during this treatment. What hotels or apartments are hear the cave. Thank you!
Hi I know there is a bus from the international airport to Antalya Otogar, it's very comfortable, fast and much cheaper than a taxi - but does anyone know whether it departs from outside International terminal 1, International Terminal 2, or Domestic terminal? Fast response appreciated as I'm flying in on Thursday. I do know that most employees at the airport don't know of it (or didn't when I was last there)
Hello again.
I am planing to go at the beginning of Nov 1 week in Belek - Hotel Belek Beach Resort. Becaquse we will spend 3 full days at the hotel I am thinking to rent one car in order to visit the area around Belek.
Would be nice if you can advise about the following questions:
1. Have anybody been before in this hotel? Comments. We have booked only bed&breakfast. Do you know which are the prices of foods and beverages in this hotel? Because have the possibility of change the status to half/full board.
2. How we can move from the hotel to Belek? (public transport..... prices...)
3. Can you recommend one car rental company and prices?
4. Things to do and special recommendations.. (restaurants, places to visit..)
Tks again for yr help on this.
Best regards,
Guillem.
We r planning to visit turkey from Saudi Arabia via Jordan and Turkey by road with three kids from 6 to 9.
I am plannig to pass through Antakiya, antaliya, Pamakule Denzili,Ephsus izmir,, Troy if possible and then head to Istanbul. Are 10 days enough for trip if we r not visiting each and evry spot and limit ourselves to sightseeing imp historical places as hieropolis at pammakale and ephsus.
We 'll try to enjoy scenic beauty of meditranean and agean regions as we pass through.
Is it complicated driving ur own car on turkish highways?

titanic, lara Posted: Tue July 21, 2009 08:24 PM UTC
hello, we are staying an the titanic hotel in lara beach, can anyone tell me if there are any bars away from the hotels and if there is any stalls similar to antalya, thanks
My girlfriend and I just - as in an hour ago - bought two tickets to Side (We live in Denmark). I'd like to know if anyone has ideas of what to go see in the local area. We will be staying there for two weeks, and I'll go crazy if I spend 14 days on the beaches, so for a few days, we'll rent a car. If there are any particular sightings reachable by car, we should experience, please let us know!
I'm thinking of visiting Antalya for a week in september - during Eid Al-Feter - does it affect with Ramadhan and Eid in Antalya? i mean are there any special events or local traditions during this period?
I want to stay in the city - not the beach - where is the best area to stay in to explore the city and the shops and restaurants? what do you think of "Puding Suite" i read nice reviews about it http://www.pudingsuite.com/
I also read about the ski resort "saklikent", when is the ski season ? and can we visit it in sept. or it is closed? i want to visit mountains by cable car, is there a place to do so near Antalya ?
last question, do you think renting a car is a good idea? I read about the waterfalls and i would love to see them, are they reachable by car ?
A newspaper has offered me a "free" trip trip to Antalya. I looked for the catch and it seems to be that we have to visit several sales shows with pushy sales persons, also it's a fully guided tour and we wouldn't have much influence on what we see and do.
One of daughters has been learning Turkish for several years now and would love to go. Travel time would be in the early January.
I don't know anything about Antalya, except that friends like to go there for the beach. We're not interested in a beach holiday and in January it would be too cold anyway. The hotel would be the Gyposophila, which seems to be quite a bit outside the city.
Should we book half board in the hotel (as advised by the tour company) or is there an easy way to get into the town?
Would you advise renting a car? Any suggestion for an easy day trip, in case we can spend some time on our own?
I appreciate any information. So far I've only had a quick look at the VT pages, but will check them out later.
Hi. Ive been to Side many times before (over 20) and I am flying out on the 25.07 for 2 weeks with my friend. I always tend to stay in the walls of side, so im looking for somewhere to stay thats not too expensive. Has anyone got a contact email address etc for rooms in side of Side. I have contacted a couple of friends who have given me prices but I am going with a friend who has never been before so would like to stay somewhere different.xx
Me and 3 of my friends are going to turkey in august. We have some problems in deciding were to go. I have been to Alanya once before, therefore I would like to see a new place. And I liked the idea of Antalya, as we want to do others things than only going to the beach (shop, nightlife, boatours, rafting, aquapark and other activities).
But then I got a call from my sister, who is currently in Side, saying many said they prefer Side over Alanya and Antalya...
One other quesion. I was wondering if there are balconies on this laguna hotel? and if there isn't any beaches closer than 2 km away?
I found this one hotel in Anatalya at the adress:
Bahcelievler Mah. Teomanpasa Cad. No 53 07100 Antalya
this webside is in norwegian, and I found no language switch for it, but u can see the location on the map on the site

Bus to Beirut Posted: Thu June 25, 2009 11:05 AM UTC
Hi,
I am travelling with my wife and 2 children to Alanya this summer and am thinking of taking a bus trip to Beirut while in Alanya. Does anyone know if there is a bus leaving from Antalaya to Beirut or Alanya to Beirut?

Hello,

thank you
Hi everyone,
I've bought two tickets for one week holiday at Falcon Hotel, Lara/Antalya, it has to be a surprise for my girl friend....But...she saw some photos and...no beach! For me the classic sandy beach is an obsolete picture but for a woman.......:(
Now, I want to ask people living in Antalya or guests of this hotel, at least is it possible to swim near the beach platform? Or it's just for catching skin??? Because if it's not possible...I won't have a nice time there....:)
I will arrive Antalya by cruise ship and I have about 5-6 hours in Antalya. I would like to visit Aspendos Theatre on my own by public transportation. Please advise.
I am looking to find out about any amazing Hammam 's in the Side/antlaya area of turkey. Used one in the hotel and felt I would get a better service from one out of the hotel complex.
