We are arriving in Port Cassafieres after canal trip from Castelnaudry then need to get across to pick up a boat at Chatel Censoir Burgundy, thus we are seeking what transport is available to get there.

Can we hire a car one way?
Is there rail transport?
is there busses available.

Would appreciate any advice anyone has to help us plan. The rest of the trip is booked already.

Thank

Phil & Kate

hi, we are arriving in Montpellier and going to Avene. I was going to hire a car to drive there but alot of people have said that it is difficult to drive in france as you cannot read the signs. We are travelling to the thermal springs at Avene. Has anyone done that drive. I think I will be OK as it is aminly country driving or does anyone think we should just get a Limo as were we are going is islolated and hard to find?

Hi Montpellier Experts!

We're spending just over a week in Montpellier in April and plan to travel around the area using public transport, as I understand the public transport system is very good.

Does anyone know the best kind of ticket to get for this? Is there something like a 7 day pass allowing unlimited travel and if so how much of the Montpellier/Herault area does it cover?

Thanks!

Carcassonne Posted: Wed February 15, 2012 02:17 AM UTC
I am going to be giving a presentation on Carcassonne to my speech classmates on March 19. I visited Carcassonne myself but was unable to take any pictures. I believe your website has numerous well taken photos and would like permission to use them as visual aids for my speech. Do you have any more pictures of Carcassonne?
Thank you for your time and help,
Theresa

I am trying to work out the best way to get a family of 4 from Marseille Aiport to Pezenas. Ideally I don't want to rent a car. I've found a number of different train schedules, but can't tell which is actually current. I'd like to know if it is possible to arrive in Marseille at 10:30 am and get to Pezenas by train/bus combination. We are not arriving until May. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Le Cap d'Agde Posted: Wed January 4, 2012 08:12 AM UTC
Me and my wife are planning to travel to Cap for the first time during the end of June. We have heard a lot but not sure what really to expect. Few informations that will surely help us plan the trip better are:

1. Is June end the best time to visit?
2. We wish to experience swinger lifestyle for the first time and also experience a naughty naked lifestyle... where will be the best place to stay within decent budget accommodation?
3. We have heard that single guys may pose a threat in security aspects... is it true?
4. Is it safe to roam around in nude in Cap and also in the beach?
5. Is it safe to explore sex on beach?
6. What are the best places to explore swinging lifestyle in Cap?

There are so many more questions we have in mind... but these may help as starters to plan the trip. We truly want to make it a memorable one for both of us.

Perpignan Posted: Mon August 15, 2011 01:12 PM UTC
A group of friends would like to visit Perpignan over the new year period. Are there any particular celebrations on at New Year's eve? I want to check before booking that the local restaurants/bars stay open until late on new Year's eve. Can anyone tell me a little bit about New year's celebrations in Perpignan?

Thanks,

Carcassonne Posted: Sat July 23, 2011 10:51 PM UTC
I will be spending one day in carcassonne in early august and was wondering if anyone had a tips for things to do for 2adults and a 2 year old toddler. We intend to view the historic city and spend most of our time there. Are there any other parts of Carcassonne worth visiting such as the other side of the river from the castle/old city?

Also are the bars and restaurants child friendly for eating in, is there any in particular that anyone would recommend.

Bugarach Posted: Wed June 29, 2011 08:39 PM UTC
Hello. I am in need of transportation from the airport in Carcassonne to Limoux on the afternoon of 03 Jul 2011. Two adults and one youth need to get to Bugarach but taxi fare is $200 at least. Would it be more economical to take a train to Limoux and a taxi from there? I have been in contact with Charly taxi from Limoux and their fare from Limoux to Bugarach is 79 Euros. How much is the train from Carcassonne to Limoux? How does one get to the train station from the airport there? Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, would like to know if wearing shorts is considered appropriate clothing in Montpellier? I know in neighbouring Spain, people tend to be more conservative about dress and therefore jeans/skirts/dresses are much preferred. Can anyone help me out here please?

We are looking for somewhere to stay in France from January to end of february or March. We will be traveling to Midi-pyrenees for Spring but would like to find somewhere a little warmer (dryer) for the end of the winter. Our biggest concern is that we are not in a tourist area that would be dead during the winter.

Pézenas Posted: Fri May 20, 2011 10:00 PM UTC
We are looking for a place to spend a couple of months from January to March. We don't need heat, but a place with a mild climate would be great. More importantly we are looking for an area that does not 'shut down' for the winter. A place where the coffee shops, restaurants etc remain open. Would Pezenas fit in with this idea.
thanks
