Carcassonne Crossing the Road
Posted: Sat June 13, 2009 11:02 AM UTC
hi

we have booked a hotel south off the airport and we are told it is a 10 minute walk from the airport. I have looked on the map and the only major road we have to cross is the D119 Route de Montreal can anyone tell me if there are any subways or crossings on this road or do we have to run haha. Also is it possible to get a bus from this area into town.

Carcassonne VEGETARIANS and Italian restaurants, Carcassonne
Posted: Mon April 13, 2009 10:29 AM UTC
We are due to visit Carcassonne for 3 days at the end of April. We are vegetarians, and are probably looking for Italian restaurants - in the ville basse. Discovered a few searching the net: L'Italia, Le Rialto, Divine Comedie - wondered if anyone could help with opening times/days? We will be staying Sat, Sun and Mon nights, and realise that Sunday and also Monday can be difficult. We prefer evening meals. Would be grateful for any help here. Many thanks in anticipation, GNW

Le Barcarès General advice about Barcarés
Posted: Thu April 2, 2009 07:27 PM UTC
Hello,
I´m planning to go to Barcarès in late August and wonder if it´s still a good time to visit Barcarès. Is the weather still nice? Is the water still warm to swim in? Are the markets still open? Is the scenery as nice as it looks on the internet? Is it easy to get around the city by using public transport? Is it an expensive city (restaurant visit)? Finally, are there any other good information I should know about?
With thanks,

I am planning to drive from Calais to Carcasonne in the summer with my wife 3 children and 2 Grandparents. I will need to do the journey in 2 days. Do you have any good ideas for hotels or B&B's to stop at on the way? ideally on a budget but I would rather something with quality.

Port-la-Nouvelle Fishing trips
Posted: Mon March 16, 2009 07:04 PM UTC
I'm spending 2 weeks in Port la Nouvelle later this year. Most of the time I'll be out looking at castles and vineyards etc, but I also plan to do some sea fishing.

Have any of you sailed on the catamaran "Navivoile" which operates along the coast of Languedoc-Roussillon? The fishing trips look quite interesting, so please let me know if you've been on one.

Carcassonne Location of Hertz Downtown Office
Posted: Wed February 18, 2009 05:35 AM UTC
Hi - I have a car rental from Hertz's Downtown Office in Carcassonne. The only address information I have been given is "Route de Montreal" which is actually out past the airport and can't possibly be the downtown office. Any help on getting the exact address or intersection very much appreciated. There are two locations in Carcassonne - the other one is the airport.
