I'll be in Liverpool in August and most of the time eating out cheaply, but for a big night out I've heard that Alma De Cuba is really beautiful. What would I pay for dinner for 2 and 2 or 3 bottles of wine? And will it be worth the money?

Liverpool Liverpool/Ireland ferries
Posted: Thu March 29, 2007 10:36 PM UTC
I will be in Liverpool in May and plan to spend a few days in Ireland. I am thinking of crossing over by ferry, but want to avoid the relatively long train trip to Holyhead. What are the possibilities from Liverpool/Birkenhead for walk-on passengers?
Thanks for your help.

Posted: Fri January 26, 2007 11:11 AM UTC
Hi,
I am looking to take my partner to a footy match at Anfield in May, but figured we may as well make the most of it and book a nice hotel, meal etc - can anyone recommend a decent hotel close to the grounds and city centre (Ive only visited Liverpool once and seem to remember its not too far too the footy from city centre) and/or somewhere nice to eat?
Thank you so much :o)

Liverpool SuperLambBananna in Liverpool
Posted: Tue December 19, 2006 04:21 PM UTC
I was in Liverpool several years ago with my daughter. We saw the street art statue SuperLambBananna. My daughter loved it and we took several pictures of it. Then we read about a year ago that it had been painted pink for breast cancer awareness. We were just talking and wondering if anyone in Liverpool could let us know what it looks like now. Has it been painted yellow again? Is it still standing?

Liverpool Parking on a Saturday
Posted: Mon November 27, 2006 01:18 PM UTC
Hi fellow VTers

I will be coming to Liverpool on Saturday 2nd December and staying overnight at the Travelodge 25 Haymarket, Liverpool.

I will be in a 17 seater minibus so a multi storey car park is out of the question.

I will need to park the van up from arouund 2pm on Saturday and pick it back up the next morning (Sunday) about 11am.

Would I be better off parking on a street outside the centre and getting a taxi to the Travelodge?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Rob

Liverpool Car parking near the Liver Building?
Posted: Sun November 5, 2006 05:21 PM UTC
I'm shortly starting work in the vicinity of the Liver Building. On short visits I've parked on the Albert Dock, but on a daily basis this is going to get expensive. Any recommendations for parking in this area? I'll be driving in from the direction of M58/A5036.

Thanks.

Why do you do yourself down. You obviously either are not a Liverpool person or even worse a conservative. (I would have called you a traffic warden but that would be going too far).Liverpool IS GREAT.

A group of us are traveling to London and then on to Dublin. We've heard there is a ferry that you can take between the two (from Liverpool) - but I'm only finding one that allows cars. Liverpool SHOPPING AND PARKING IN LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE
Posted: Wed September 20, 2006 09:06 AM UTC

Hello

I am hoping to visit Liverpool soon.

Can anyone recommend a car park close (ie; within walking distance) to the main shopping area? I will be driving in from the M62.

Are the major shops located in one main area? Is this anywhere near (again within walking distance of) the docks?

Hoping for some replies

Thanks
