Nottingham Photos! Posted: Sun November 20, 2005 12:59 PM UTC
Hello,
I have put together a website with the goal of collecting as many photographs of Nottingham and surrounding suburbs as possible. I wanted to add this link here in the Nottingham travel section to give users an even better feel for Nottingham "The Worlds Best City"
http://www.thenottinghamsite.com
If you have photos of Nottingham of your own, please upload and add to the collection. Signup isn't required. Leave name on upload to get the credit for images.

Bic code/ Swift Address Posted: Wed November 16, 2005 11:15 PM UTC
Hallo,
I'm looking for the Swift address of an HSBC PLc BRANCH in Nottingham. IT is situated on the campus of the University of Nottingham This particular branch is located in the Portland Buildings, University Park, Beeston, Nottingham NG7 2 RD
The sortcode is 400 500. The BIC code is starting with MIDLGB21, what is missing are the last three characters, two numbers and a letter, to identify this branch.
Many thanks for any answer to this question.

Nottingham buses Posted: Thu September 29, 2005 04:27 PM UTC
I need to get from the train station to the Nottingham Moat House on Mansfield Road (supposedly within walking distance of the city center). However, I'm wondering if there's a bus that goes in this direction (A60), and what number bus I should take. Also, where is the Broadmarsh Bus Station in relation to the train station? Thank you very much for your help.

VIOLENCE Posted: Wed August 17, 2005 02:35 PM UTC
I m considering moving back to the uk after many years in Germany and Austria. I have grown accustomed to the relaxed and safe lifestyle over here but keep hearing so much about the unbelieveable explosion in violent and serious crime in Britain!I ve been offered a job in my home town of nottingham. It seemed pretty safe and sane when i left, but have heard reports that it is now one of the most violent cities in Europe!! What on earth happened and are the press simply sensationalising everything? I dont want to settle back in the uk having to worry about "ghetto style shootings in the well to do suburbs" (to quote the press)!
Can u please let me know what is/is this really happening to good old blighty!!!!

Mobile Plans Posted: Sat August 6, 2005 07:51 AM UTC
Hi all,
I will be coming to Nottingham for about 10 months as an exchange student from Singapore. I'll be bringing my mobile over and am thinking of subscribing to the mobile plans over there. Can anyone tell me the cheapest mobile plan in UK which I can subscribe to? I'd probably use it for calling back home (from UK and when I travel to other parts of Europe), messaging and calling UK numbers. Thanks y'all!

Life in Notts Posted: Tue October 26, 2004 07:06 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm an Aussie who's interested to apply to Univ of Notts for student exchange. Can anyone enlighten me as to the cost of living over here in Notts? Is Notts a beautiful city? (Aesthetic beauty is an important factor! haha) Is staying in UK generally more expensive than Scandanivia countries like Denmark / Sweden?
Thanks in advance!

Suitable Hotels for Overweight Persons Posted: Tue October 26, 2004 11:10 AM UTC
Hi, I weight 280 pounds, I'm a big boy, I stayed in Nottingham last year and bust a bed at the George Hotel, they weren't too pleased about it.
Can anyone tell me is there a special hotel for fat persons or is there a hotel with big strong beds?
Any other helpful info from fat persons in Nottingham would be really appreciated, also any info about touring the UK if you're obese like me.
Thanks.

anyone been to the Antique fair in Newark? Posted: Thu January 15, 2004 01:24 PM UTC
I just found the antique fair listed for Feb 3rd in Newark...we are delighted. Has anyone attended one of the antique fairs in winter? Are most of the exhibitors inside the buildings or do they use the outside spaces too? I am trying to decide if we should pack our longjohns! Thanks Lyn
