Richmond Great things to do and see
Posted: Wed January 7, 2009 02:15 AM UTC
My cousin and I are having our annual "girls trip" in England this March. We are planning on staying in Kent, but I wanted to check out Richmond also. I see there are quite a few who have posted some great tips, but too many for me to read all through. So, yes, I'm taking the easy way to find out some great info. I am wondering if some of you could advise me on great places to visit, shops(of course, I am a woman!), restaurants, parks, and anything else you may consider a fun thing to do! Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Richmond cheap things to do in twickenham

I'm going to London in late November, and by bus, to a show at York House. A friend told me to be sure to go early to look around the river area, as it is very beautiful. Where is a nice place to walk around, and maybe visit a bookshop? Thanks much. Barbara

Richmond Hotel with Parking
Posted: Thu June 28, 2007 01:17 PM UTC
Hi there,

We are looking for a cheap hotel in Richmond that offers parking. I have found a Travel Inn in Brentford - is it easy to get to Richmond from there in the evenings? Is there somewhere in Richmond that would be suitable?

Thanks for your help.

Richmond Cycle hire in Richmond?
Posted: Mon March 12, 2007 06:18 PM UTC
Apparently you can hire bycicles in the car park near Richmond Park's Roehampton Gate (http://www.royalparks.gov.uk/parks/richmond_park/sport.cfm)
It seems a long way off Richmond's train station - I'll be going by public transport from London.
Does anyone know if you can hire cycles in Richmond itself (somewhere closer to the tube? (Can't find this info on the web)
Many thanks!

Richmond H20 Restaurant
Posted: Mon July 31, 2006 03:09 AM UTC
I am planning to travel from Vancouver to Gatwick on my husband, Alan's 50th Birthday (Thursday, August 31st, 2006). It is coincidental that I took him to lunch on Thursday, August 31, 1978 (to celebrate the first birthday we spent together!!!)at a restaurant in Richmond and then we walked along the Thames after our meal. (Can't remember the name of the restaurant now -- 28 years later!!!).

Anyway, we emigrated to Canada on his 25th Birthday (1981) and we are due to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary on September 25th!!!

This is a surprise trip for my husband -- he has little idea of anything I have planned for him.

I am hoping that you will be able to make a special surprise for him.

We are due to arrive at Gatwick Airport at 9:20am and will pick up a car at the airport about 11:00 am. Could you please give me directions on how to get to your restaurant by the most direct route from Gatwick. (We haven't been in that area for 25+ years!!!!)

Do you have any specialties of the house? Could you please let me know at your earliest convenience.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.
