Just wondering which Syria/Turkish border crossing is easiest for crossing with the expectation of receiving a visa at the border. I have both a Canadian, and Iranian passport (prefer to use Iranian).
Let me know what happened to you at either:
1) Kilis,
2) Cilvegözü, road goes to Aleppo (or Halab, Syria), Syrian name: Bab al Hawa
3) Yayladağı, road goes to Lathqiyah, Syria
Syria Visa (at Turkish border) with Canadian, or Iranian passport?
I am visiting Turkey for 3 months (on an Iranian passport), but also, I have a Canadian passport. And then After Turkey, I want to enter Syria (and get visa at the border). My question is which passport is better for obtaining the Syria visa on arrival, as well as to reduce costs? I've heard Canadians pay $60 to enter Turkey, and around $80 to enter Syria. For that reason, I am thinking maybe it's better to go with Iranian. Does anyone have info for Iranians? Also, will it be a problem to enter Syria as a Canadian, if I entered Turkey as an Iranian? What if the Syrian officials ask where my Turkish entry/exit stamps are? And I say they are in my OTHER passport?
I may be there 1 day or up to a week. Aside from the museum, Sabanci Merkez Camii, Tas Kopru, and Ulu Camii, what would you see? I may have extra time and will have my own car, so if there is anything that would make a good day-trip, I'd also be interested in hearing about it. Thanks!
I know that there is only about 5 hours form Kayseri or Nevsehir, however I would like to be in Adana early morning and then go to Antakya and finally to Aleppo. I will be grateful if someone points out the night bus / train (may be directly from Cappadocia to Antakya, of course).
I wanted to know whereabts i can get the dolmusch in antakya to aleppo.I fly into adana arriving in the morning, should i then just go to the otogar take a bus to antakya, then look for a dolmush to aleppo.I intend to continue on to damascus. The other alternative would be adana otogar then take bus to aleppo from there if its available but i dont know if that will take longer and if its available.Let me know what is the best option and less time. Thanks very much
I am staying in Turkey and wish to travel from Adana to Aleppo (and then to Damascus). What is the best way to get to Aleppo from Adana? How long does it take?
I must travel from Lisbon Portugal to Antakya. I have found flights to Adana which appears to be the nearest commercial airport. Do you have suggestions and/or recommendations on how to reach Antakya?
