I have a job offer at CCES, King Saud University and I am planning to join somewhere by the end of October. I have few questions, if you could answer/help:

1) Where is this College of Computer Engineering and Sciences (CCES) located in Al-Kharj; the website says somewhere on King Fahad Road.

2) What are the possible options to live in the area around CCES, I mean
compounds or independent residences/apartments.

3) I am single, male and would like to rent out a 1,2 bedroom apartment.
How much should I expect to pay.

I am wondering if there is a "meaning" or significance to the different colours of the SHOMAGH? I have seen many red and white or black and white ones but an acquaintance of mine told me that different colours denote associations with different groups, families, tribes or other organisations. She said that blue and white ones meant the man was a Christian. Can you shed some light on this?

I am moving to Riyadh in March. I would like to know if I will be able to bring some of my own electronics staff with me in my computer bag, such as my LCD screen and external harddrive? Just bought these and don't want to sell it in SA. Will I be allowed to bring it into Riyadh if I have declared with South African customs?

I am going to work in the KFSH&RC likely by the end of this month. I have a lot and a variety of short sleeved T-shirts and shirts, but very less long-sleeved shirts or pullovers. Should I throw away most of the short sleeves and buy some long-sleeves? I suppose in the hospital and in shopping mall I should wear long-sleeves, but how about in the compound after work like in the hot summer?

we've been in olaya street for sometime and has been trying to locate kenny roger's but to no avail. it's not infront of jarir bookstore, as mentioned, and the phone number's not working. where specifically is kenny roger's in riyadh?

When will the Jenadriyah Festival be held in 2009? Lonely Planet Middle East says the festival "takes place in late February or early March", but this year I know it was held in April!

Hopefully my parents will come to visit next year, and I would very much like to take them to the festival. For us to make the VISA arrangements it´s important to know the dates of the festival.

Have you heard of the company "Systems Builder"?
We heard that they assist in processing or acquiring a reference note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jeddah or Damman for employers of business visa holders who want to bring their spouses/wives for a "special visa" just to visit the place.
