Pau Vieux Boucau
Posted: Tue July 28, 2009 08:37 PM UTC
My question is:
On August 13 I'll arrive by air from Amsterdam in Pau. Then my destination is Vieux Boucou near Messagnes/Soustons..
Is there any bus that goes from Pau to that area? Or do I have to go by train to Dax or Bayonne?
Can you give me any advise?
Thank you in advance.

Biarritz Weather and Accomodation in August
Posted: Tue July 21, 2009 01:33 PM UTC
Hi,we are thinking of travelling to Biarritz, mid August and staying for a few days before heading down towards Santander.
Ive read a few reports saying that the weather can be very rainy in August? Can anyone tell me what weather to expect?
Also, would this be peak season and if so will accomodation be very expensive? We didnt plan on booking accomodation ahead of time, but will that leave us at risk of not being able to get anything decent once we arrive!!
Thanks for your help.

I have posted a picture of a bridge on my home page. I found it on the Internet and it is described as the "Wobbly Bridge in the Dorgdogne". I love bridges and would enjoy seeing it when I am in the Dordogne this June. Does anyone know its location? -- Thanks

Biarritz Working, staying in Biarritz
Posted: Mon April 27, 2009 11:54 AM UTC
I am planning to stay and work in Biarritz in the Summer for about a month, june/July. The work will probably not be highly paid and I am a not so wealthy young person who is attracted by the surfing mainly. Any ideas on reeeally cheap accomodation that really doesnt even have to look nice or be comfortable but just within walking distance of the main area which will be essential for if I am working.
Thanks in advance!!

Biarritz Travel from Biarritz to Bilbao
Posted: Tue April 14, 2009 07:28 PM UTC
We have a small group (6-8 people) travelling from Biarritz to Bilbao/San Sebastion. Does anyone know of a service where a driver would take us there in a van, possibly dropping some of the passengers at various locations along the way? We are flying out of Bilbao and would need the service only one-way.

Biarritz what to do - where to eat - what not to miss
Posted: Thu March 12, 2009 01:21 PM UTC
We are visiting Biarritz for four days at the end March beginning April. I will have two days (daytime) when hubby will be working and was hoping someone could give me some tips about where to go and what to see (are there any good markets etc that I can do on my own without hubby hanging around waiting) - also for the extra days when it will be both of us wanting to see all the things that should not be missed. Have heard Bayonne is also lovely so anything on there too would be great.

Also any advice on eating out? like most these days we are on a fairly tight budget but also like to eat where locals eat and not in the real touristy expensive areas.

Thanks very much

Bordeaux Drive from Nantes to Bordeaux to Biarritz
Posted: Tue January 27, 2009 06:57 AM UTC
Hello,

My boyfriend and I are planning a holiday in France this spring, and we were thinking perhaps to rent a car in Nantes, and take the scenic route down the coast to Biarritz (via La Rochelle and Bordeaux), where a friend lives.

We would be most grateful to anyone who could give us advice on:
a)how long each leg of the journey (Nantes-La Rochelle, La Rochelle-Bordeaux, Bordeaux-Biarritz) might take, given that we probably won't use the autoroute
(would lunch in La Rochelle, dinner in Bordeaux be feasible for the first day, for example?);
and
b)whether mid-March is a good time to be doing this trip?

Thanks

Aquitaine The Citadelle Town of Blaye
Posted: Mon December 22, 2008 07:13 PM UTC
I am trying to place Blaye, 33390, the Citadelle town in the Gironde department, Aquitaine, on to my Travel Map. I have stayed there several times and know it quite well.

The VT Destination search delivers 9 "possibles" but I am not convinced that any one of them is the Blaye I am looking for. I have scrubbed the one in Midi Pyrenees but the remaining 8 names do not mean anything to me-

Aquitaine > Blaye-et-Sainte-Luce
Aquitaine > Civrac-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Saint-Aubin-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Saint-Christoly-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Saint-Genès-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Saint-Vivien-de-Blaye
Aquitaine > Villeneuve-de-Blaye

I always contacted the hotels there simply at Blaye 33390

I would appreciate your advice.
