I see nothing about the Gentry on any of the postings? Ben Bulben and Ross Pt. are associated with Them. Any locals or tourists have experience of Them?

Sligo lodging near sligo train station
Posted: Mon June 8, 2009 04:57 AM UTC
Can anyone recommend a hotel or B&B in Sligo that is not too far from the train station? (Unless the train station is in a dreadful part of town that you'd discourage staying in.) Main concerns are something accessible to my 93-year-old mom who uses a push walker and can't do a lot of stairs at one time. Did you have occasion to use either taxi or bus from the station to the hotel or B&B? Do you recall the approximate cost?

Sligo Writer looking for accommodations
Posted: Sun March 16, 2008 12:10 AM UTC
Going to Co. Sligo for three weeks this summer.I am an assistant to a writer and we will be doing research for a book while there. Where do you suggest we stay? We can stay anywhere in Co Sligo. Ideally, we would like to stay in a house in a village center where we can walk to eat, to a pub. We are open to all accommodations that offer comofort and have charm.

Sligo Has anyone ever been to Easkey south of Sligo?
Posted: Sat July 10, 2004 05:57 PM UTC
My husband and I have rented a cottage in Easkey for our base as we explore the coast. I can't find much information on the town except that it's well known for surfing. We also plan on getting up to Killybegs since this is where my ancestors Derry's are from and would love any information on the area from those who have traveled or live there. Thanks!
