Can anyone tell me if there is a laundrette in Alvor, am hoping to reduce my packing as we're travelling around and thought it would be better to do a load of washing, and also any idea of the price?

Alvor Trips to surrounding area
Posted: Sun April 20, 2008 12:41 PM UTC
My husband and i are coming to alvor and tavira in June,1 week in each, we have been before but we would like to visit the surrounding area and we do not drive. Can anyone recommend any trips organised locally as we are not on a package and are making our own way around. We don't mind taking local buses. We fancy Ferragado and Faro,we've been to portimao and Lagos any ideas or any other useful tips would be great

Alvor Directions to Maralvor apartments
Posted: Tue August 14, 2007 12:28 PM UTC
Could someone help me with directions to the Maralvor apartments please?
The address I have is Rua da Barca and I've tried to find a decent online town map to look for the street but I'm having trouble finding a one that's detailed enough.
We'll be driving from Faro to Alvor so if someone could give me directions once we leave the A22 I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks so much.

Alvor Alvor

I am travelling to Alvor on the 7th July. Is it quite easy to get around the resort? I chose it because I had heard it was quiet but is there easy access to more lively resorts should we want to venture away from Alor.

Alvor Getting from the airport
Posted: Thu May 31, 2007 11:29 AM UTC
We are arriving at the end of Aug. Can anyone advise of the best way to get from Faro Airport to Alvor via bus or taxi etc? Car Hire could be an option also, although the mrs doesn't particularly trust me to drive abroad!

Any general chat on Alvor would also be good, re bars, restaurants etc

Thanks
