Visa Sponsor and Areas of Visit Posted: Thu September 3, 2009 09:52 AM UTC
Dear VTs,
I wish to inquire if Bahrain do issue electronic entry visa to applicants from South Africa and Cameroon like how UAE does?
Further more how do i acquire invitation letter/sponsorhip to apply for entry clearance visa? How could one arrange a company or an individual to sponsor a family who intends to visit Bahrain?
Finally, could anyone suggest the best areas to visit and stay in Bahrain for a budget family of 4 including 2kids on a holiday?
Thank you and look forward to your support!

Hi friends,
I would like to know how long will it take me to drive my car to tree of life and oil museum. Can a normal 2 wheel drive car be taken upto Tree of Life or a 4WD is required. I would also like to know which is the shortest and safest route to travel to Tree of Life from Manama.
Is it possible to see Riffa Fort, Tree of Life and Oil Museum in a single day.
Looking forward for your replies and help.
Thanks a lot

Dear all,
I am Italian, and in September I will be relocating to Manama, working there on a permanent basis; my family will remain in Italy.
Any of you could tip me off on the cheapest way to make outbound calls to Italy ? what about calls via a Bahraini mobile operator to Italy ? Is skype working there, mobile to mobile, or PC to PC ?
Thank you for your kind replies, any suggestions very welcome

Cheap Hotel in Bahrain: Posted: Wed July 15, 2009 05:46 PM UTC
Budget Hotel or Hostel in Bahrain/ E-visa services
Dear VT Members,
Since I have been a member of VT all your advice have always been outstanding, well done for all the hard work you guys are doing.
I have noted that Bahraini hotels are over priced, I will be in Bahrain in the end of August 2009, I’m just looking for good price hotel price rage -40-60 USD a Night.
Do you also know of any hostel in Bahrain that I could stay at?
Has anybody used E-visa services for Bahrain, getting an online visa) as I am British I have few choices
1. Bahrain Embassy in London
2. E-Visa
3. Visa at the airport
I’m thinking for going for the E-visa, I have no idea how long it will take have you guys used this system?
I will be grateful if you could respond back to my message.
Kind Regards
Jean Paul Adam

Can i get transit visa at bahrain Posted: Sat June 6, 2009 12:31 PM UTC
Hi,
I am currently staying in Saudi Arabia from the last 3 months. I got my Iqama around 45 days back. I am planning to go to bahrain for tourism. I came to know that I can travel by King fayad couseway and get the visa on arrival. But when I have checked the Bahrain govt site they have quoted that you need to be six month old resident of the gulf countries to get the visa on arrival. My current Imqama is valid for the next 10 months.
Can some one please guide me about the exact policy?
Regards,
Ahmad

7 days visa to Bahrain Posted: Sun April 26, 2009 10:45 AM UTC
I am presently working here in Qatar and planning to take a 4 days vacation in Bahrain before i headed to my home country which is Philippines. I thought i can just buy a 7 days visa upon arrival in Bahrain Airport, but when im purchasing my ticket here in Qatar, the travel agent advise to secure first a visa before buying a ticket, he advised me to call Bahrain Embassy here in Qatar which i did and Bahrain embassy told me that they are requiring a recommendation letter from my sponsor to process a 7days visa for me. I dont want my sponsor to know that ill be passing by first at Bahrain. Can i just buy a 7 days visa at Bahrain, knowing that i have a 1 year valid working visa here in Qatar. By the way, im working as an Executive secretary in an interior landscaping firm but in my iqama, my designation is a servant because before when the company hired me they dont have yet professional designated available iqama's. Do you think i really have to ask for my sponsor's recommendation letter of i can just buy a 7 days visa in Bahrain airport. Please advise.
Thank you so much if there's anyone who can help me..im really running out of time.

Food..food....and beaches Posted: Wed December 3, 2008 03:51 AM UTC
Hello fellow VTs,
Appreciate if anyone of the members can advise places where i can go for early breakfast in bahrain. it doesnt matter whether it middle east, indian, continental or anything. I don't mean at the hotel. do the shops operate like in saudi's opening time? open after 4pm, close during prayer time etc.
what about local food? what is it? is it the same khabsah? where can i find a good one which of course with lamb.
about the beaches, where can i go and enjoy food by the beaches. are there any? some of the information in this bahrain VT are few years back. perhaps members can give some updates whether the information is still valid.
How easy to go to tourist information centre from the airport? From the internet i found that it is somewhere in Adliya - how to get there?. Do they have a proper office at the airport itself?
Thank you. Have a good day to you all.
