Azerbaijan Visa procedure and Invitation Letter Posted: Thu September 3, 2009 09:42 AM UTC
Dear VTs,
I wish to inquire if the Azerbaijan do issue electronic entry visa to applicants from South Africa and Cameroon like how UAE does?
Further more how do i acquire invitation letter to apply for entry clearance visa? Can a company or an individual issue an invitation to an applicant? Finally, could anyone suggest the best area to stay in Azerbaijan for a family of 4 including 2kids on a holiday?
Thank you and look forward to your support!

Letter of invitation Posted: Wed July 22, 2009 10:05 AM UTC
Hello, thanks for the answers to my last question!
I have another question with which some of you might be able to help me again. We are looking into the details on how to get the visa for Azerbaijan, and it appears that we need a letter of invitation. Several agencies provide these letters but the price they ask is absolutely crazy. Would anyone have an idea on how to get a letter of invitation at a reasonable price? Also, do you know if we need two letters or we can have one letter inviting both of us?
Many thanks in advance for your help!!

Does anyone know what heppened to the boat which was moored near the Absheron Hotel, which was a bar and disco ? It was there in 2002 and 2004 and nicknamed the Loveboat by Welsh Football fans. Apparently it has now gone....

Body temperature measured when leaving Azerbaijan?! Posted: Sun May 11, 2008 06:50 PM UTC
I am sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, I am new to this forum and I am trying to find out how it all works... But why on earth do you have to have your temperature measured when leaving Azerbaijan? This sounds completely weird and absurd, almost Monty-Python-like... Must be a joke, for sure?

Baku to Turkmenbashi Posted: Thu May 8, 2008 05:59 PM UTC
Are there direct flights from Baku, Azerbaijan to Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan? I'm planning to go to Baku in June and was thinking that it would be great if i could fly direct to Turkmenbashi and back to Baku a couple of days later as my schedule is quite tight. Maybe i can go by ferry but from what I've read, the service seems to be unreliable. Can anyone advise me if direct flights are available?

Bus Travel Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 03:34 PM UTC
Hi, has anyone travelled by bus from Baku to Sheki and back? I have tried without success to find out information on the Net. An alternative would be an English speaking driver and car. Also would we need a 4x4?
Kind Regards

Hotel and Surrounding Villages Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 07:55 AM UTC
I saw the hotel tip about "Park Inn Azerbaijan" written by Minai. The weblink doesn't work! Any one has a link to this hotel with some reviews and clear picture.
I also would like to know the surrounding villages, where people still live in a simple life (no much traffic, no much asphalt & buldings, ...) I like those countryside areas. I need a guidance and info for those areas.

Kazan Gel? Posted: Tue March 4, 2008 12:33 PM UTC
Hallo everyone,
I am looking for a lake called Kazan Gel (or something similar). Googling and other web searches were unsuccessful.
Maybe someone here can help me... Where exactly is it? Which cities are close to it, so that they can serve as a base for excursions to the lake and the area?
Thanks a lot!

How Can I Make a Reservation at the Karvansaray Hotel in Sheki? Posted: Tue January 29, 2008 05:07 AM UTC
I know this was on the forum earlier, but no one ever gave an answer. I'm going to Azerbaijan in May, and I've heard nothing but raves about the Karvansaray Hotel in Sheki. I want to be sure I can reserve a room there, so I'd prefer to e-mail or fax them a request now, from the States. Does anyone know the contact info for them, besides just their phone number? Or a reputable agency that can make the reservation for me without much of a fee?
Thanks!

Azeri Visa in Georgia + Karvansaray Hotel Saki Posted: Sun August 19, 2007 05:33 PM UTC
Hi!
After my stay in Georgia I will be heading to Azerbaijan overland. And for the trip to Azerbaijan I have a few questions and I would be very happy, if someone could help me.
Is it easy to travel from Tbilisi to Saki in one day by bus or matrushka and is it realy necessary to reservate a room in the Karvansaray Hotel in Saki in advance (I will be there in october during the week)? If so, does anybody know where can I book my room in the Karvansaray Hotel in Saki?
I have heard a couple of times that it's not a big deal to get the Azeri Visa at the Azerbaijan embassy in Tbilisi/Georgia. Can someone tell me some details about it? How long does it take and do I still need an invitation letter and a hotel booking for Azerbaijan in advance. Is it really easy to get that Azeri visa in Tbilisi? As I fly out from Baku (back to Germany) I don't wanna get in trouble, if some problems maybe arise.
Thank's very much for your help!

Visas, Vouchers, Invitations? Posted: Thu August 2, 2007 05:39 PM UTC
Hello,
I will be traveling with my wife from the USA to visit her parents in Baku in a few weeks. I am an American citizen and She is still a Russian citizen. We want to stay for about 10 days. I have been told I can get a Visa at the airport if I have a travel voucher. I'm not sure what a travel voucher is. I have also been told I should get an invitation. An invitation from who?
I have also been told I don't need any thing to get a visa. Just get the airline tickets and get my Visa Can anyone sort this out for me?
