Alicante Apartment / accomodation in Alicante
Posted: Wed August 15, 2007 02:32 PM UTC
We plan to spend one week in and around Alicante in March 2008. What we have enjoyed a lot recently is to stay in small apartments rather than in B&B or hotels. I have done some browsing, but it seems to be difficult to find apartments in the center (preferably the old center) of Alicante (rather than in the environments).

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Alicante Looking for a great location to have an outdoor wedding
Posted: Tue May 15, 2007 03:41 PM UTC
I have a couple of friends who would like to get married in Alicante next June. Can you suggest any beautiful locations, particularly overlooking the sea? They would prefer to do the wedding spontaneously and not have to reserve the location. Thankyou!!!

Alicante Alicante resort advice
Posted: Fri April 27, 2007 09:00 AM UTC
Hi,
I have booked some flights to Alicante on 16/07/07.There are 6 of us (2 adults and 4 kids) and I am now deciding which resort/area to rent a villa.I have seen a nice villa for £350 in La Zenia but have been quoted £150 for a return airport tranfer which makes me think it might be worth considering closer resorts. We have never been here before so any help or advice are welcome. We are looking to stay in a place with lots of bars with live music, restaurants and a good beach.
thanks

Alicante train travel - Murcia/Alicante to Valencia early July.
Posted: Tue April 3, 2007 04:20 PM UTC
I will be travelling from Alicante or Murcia ( either suit me ) to Valencia in early July to see the final stages of the Americas Cup. The train fare seems to be quite expensive ( 26 euro one way and 15 for a child ) Is the RENFE the only train which takes this route. I will have a car rented so could drive there and back but feel it might be hassle on arrival in Valencia trying to get suitable parking etc. If anybody has views on these matters i would love to hear them. Thank you.

Alicante Traveling from Alicante train station or Barcelona to Albir
Posted: Mon March 26, 2007 05:33 AM UTC
I am traveling to Spain in September. I plan to travel from barcelona to Albir but was not sure what is the best way to travel. Should I take the Euromed train from Barcelona to Alicate and then travel to Albir or does the Euromed train stop at another destination I should get off at. Any guidance would be really appreciated.

Alicante Win Comes To Town, Anyone Up For A Drink?
Posted: Fri January 5, 2007 01:19 PM UTC
Hello VTers based in or visiting Alicante from 16 to 21 February -- I am fleeing from Cologne Carnival during this period because the Rhineland is crazy and we get days off at work without having to take leave.

I prefer having a beer (or two) under a mild Mediterranean breeze -- if you are up for the same, meeting would be great! Depending on entries here, I'd post the date in the VT meeting calendar, too.

Alicante Searching a Flight-Sponsor
Posted: Sat December 30, 2006 11:23 AM UTC
Hi!

I have an urgent concern:

We have adopted a cat from a spanish Organisation (Animal Help Europe). She is called Laika and is now waiting to get into her new home.
The problem ist that we are living in Germany. Animals aren't allowed to fly "alone" on a plane. They need a person who accompanies them.

This person doesn't have to pay anything for the animal, that's our turn.
The organisation takes the animal to your airport of departure, in at transportation box, with all necessary documents. The organisation assists you with check-in. At your airport of arrival we will pick up Laika.

So if there is anybody who flies from Alicante or Valencia to Düsseldorf, Dortmund or Cologne: please help us.

Thanks a lot,
Monia!

Alicante Beach Volleyball

I plan to spend a month in Spain next summer. I enjoy playing beach vollyball. Is anyone aware if there are beach volleyball nets in Alicante? Are there locals that play volleyball regularly? If not, does anyone know of another coastal town in Spain that has beach volleyball?

Thanks,

We are landing in Alicante on 22 Aug next. As we have to get to our holiday resort in Albir I am trying to find either a bus or train connection to Albir (40km). Can anyone recommend something urgently please? Otherwise a taxi seems the only alternative. Thanks for your help in advance.

Alicante DVD's on bullfighting in Spain, in English
Posted: Sun August 6, 2006 11:06 AM UTC
Please could you help me to buy one or more DVDs, in English, about Spanish bullfighting. I do NOT want film dramas featuring bullfighting, but documentaries and/or complete scenes from the corrida.

I have a home in Gran Alacant and I wish to have the DVDs there for me and my guests. I am next due there in October 2006 and so could go to Alicante, Elche or Santa Pola to pick up the purchases.

Many thanks
