Hola - I plan on catching a bus from Granada to Almeria tomorrow and from there I would like to go to San Jose or Cabo de Gato. I am having trouble finding the bus schedule from Aleria to either of these two locations. If anyone knows the schedule or where I can find it online I would really appreciate it.

| Almería | Airport Travel Posted: Fri February 15, 2008 03:39 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm attending a wedding in Mojacar in June. I plan on flying into Almeria airport and departing from Alicante airport. I won't have my own transport. Could someone tell me if there is a public bus between Mojacar and both airports or will I have to make other arrangements? Thanks...... |

| Almería | Urgent: Accomodation Required 23rd July Posted: Thu July 19, 2007 10:23 PM UTC
Hi,
I've just joined Virtual Tourist; I have an urgent problem and would HUGELY appreciate any help... I've found out this evening that the villa where my family and our friends (8 of us) were sue to stay next week has a problem: the pool has leaked and we can't go there. With this in mind I am desperate to find accomodation in MOJACAR for 8 people from Monday 23rd July to 2nd August - or maybe from 23rd for 1 week as we may be able to return early. As we only found out tonight we've not been successful so far in finding somewhere. We need a pool, air con, and prefereably a decent location. My apologies if this is not the right place to post - but I face the prospect of very disappointed children and friends if we can't find anywhere. My email is richard_lee@uk.lenovo.com - or if anyone can help my mobile in the UK is 07802 925 449. I know this is an odd request, but I'm really trying anything at this late stage. Any sugggestions MOST welcome. Richard Lee |

| Almería | Car Hire in Vera Posted: Fri November 3, 2006 12:40 PM UTC
Hi we are staying at the Vera beach club shortly and wanted to hire a car for a few days but we do not have a credit card and everywhere I have rang or looked on the internet will allow you to pay for the car hire by debit card before you travel but when you go to pick your hire car up apparently you have to leave your credit card details as a deposit and pay for the fuel. Does anyone know of any car hire places in Vera or nearby Garracha or Mojacar that will take cash (euros) as payment for the fuel and do not need to take your credit card details?
Thanks. |

| Almería | Hostels in Almeria Posted: Fri April 21, 2006 05:18 PM UTC
Hi, I will be travelling to Almeria late August/Early September. I will be coming from Seville but think it's a bit of a trek from there so might stay in Malaga overnight, would this be a better idea? I'd prefer to be in Almeria for three nights so if anyone knows how long the journey is from Seville to Almeria and how much it costs that would be great.
Once in Almeria does anyone know any cheap hostels to stay in and also the average prices of meals amd drinks etc. Thanks! Sofie x |

| Almería | first time to Almeria, looking to eventually move over, any tips from one who has done this? Posted: Wed January 18, 2006 04:55 PM UTC
We are thinking of a permanent move to spain in the next twelve months and as we have friends who've been to Almeria (and loved it!) we thought we would start there as a base to look around for a home of our own.
What i really need are tips from people who have done just this, tips about estate agents, cheap B and B's to stay in while we look, car hire etc! Who to avoid and who can be trusted What have people learnt from the move over, is it all you dreamed of? Its such a big step, I really would appreciate help from someone who has already taken such a step! thank you |

| Almería | Last weekend away before Baby comes! Posted: Wed March 2, 2005 09:24 AM UTC
Hi,
I've been reading through the helpful advice already given, but am hoping for some more specific information that I can't seem to find on the internet. We are doing a last trip this weekend (04/03/05) before our Baby's due in the first week of April (last weekend we are allowed to fly!). Could anyone please give tips about: 1. We arrive at Almeria airport and plan to stay in one of the coastal villages - most likely Roqueta de Mar as there are very cheap rates for Playaluna - any thoughts? 2. We can't seem to find any information about public transport. Are there any local buses between the airport and the villages and attractions? 3. Otherwise, car rental seems quite reasonable.. would that be a better option? 4. We would probably be looking towards having a quiet weekend - what are the must-see, not too strenuous attractions we should prioritise? 5. Any recommendations about places to eat? What are likely prices? Is it worth taking the half board etc options at the accommodations? Sorry about so many questions and thanks so much in advance! We're really looking forward to the weekend. Costa Almeria sounds so lovely! |

| Almería | New Years in Almeria Posted: Wed December 1, 2004 03:32 PM UTC
Hi people, I am heading to Almeria some time between 29th Dec and 5th Jan with my boyfriend. I will fly into San Javier near Murcia and rent a car but after that I don't know where to go. I would like somewhere warm (er than Ireland at this time of year), relaxed but at the same time where there are likely to be restaurants open during this period. I am happy to stay in a hotel or apartment. I also speak Spanish so can get around easily enough. Any suggestions? I was thinking of Cabo de Gata, Nijar or San Jose. I like remote places but at the same time would like to be able to eat yummy local food!! I would also like to visit Granada. Do you think it would be possible to drive there from Almeria in a day, or should I book Granada seperately and spend a few days there. Also which would be better for new years? Preguntas preguntas. Me puede responder tambien en Castellano si prefieres. All suggstions gratefully recieved!!

Thanks for the replies! Looking forward to more! |

| Almería | Visiting Almeria this Christmas Posted: Wed November 17, 2004 09:43 PM UTC
I'm driving down to Almeria province (I live in Southern France) on December 24th. I just want to spend a delicious 8 days somewhere (maybe in more than one place) just relaxing, writing songs and taking in the scenery. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding hotels (or any other accomodation), particular places to visit or where one could meet up with interesting people and do stimulating things?
