Haifa I'm leaving from Tel Aviv to Haifa
Posted: Thu August 13, 2009 05:54 PM UTC
Hello everyone,
In the end of September I'm arriving to Tel Aviv and then going to Haifa. I'm completly new in the country, so I know nothing. I have several questions:
Q1:is it worth to rent a car and get to Haifa by car, and just hang around by driving, moving from one place to another: like from beach to restaurant and so on?
Q2: is there some cheap options to stay in the Haifa or nearby(hotels charge from 70-200$/night)?
Q3: I'm going to be there for about 5 days: is it worth to stay in Haifa or I should go somewhere else(I'm going to visit my girlfriend, so i want just see country and have fun).

I would appreciate any advices and comments,
Dmitry

Nazareth opening time of The Basilica of the Annunciation on June 27 or 28?
Posted: Fri June 19, 2009 03:40 PM UTC
Shalom!

I got the opening time of Basilica of the Annunciation is:
Hours: Daily 8:00-11:45am and 2-6pm (5pm in winter)
Sunday and feast days: 2 pm-5:30pm (4:30pm in winter)

Will it open on June 27? It is Sabbath. If not, will it open in the morning of June 28 (Sunday)?

I need this information to arrange my trip agenda.

Thank you in advance!

Shalom!

We will go to Sea of Galilee form Tel Aviv and back to Jerusalem. We plan to rent a car, is it possible to go back to Jerusalem from Galilee within one day? the tour line is Sea of Galilee - Nazareth - Yardenit - Jordan Vally(did not find it in map) - Beit Shean - Gideo Spring - Jerusalem?

Where is Church Nain? Is it far from Nazareth?

How much time people need to visit Nazareth? 2 hours or more?

Nazareth Gelato in Nazareth/Vegetarian Food too.
Posted: Tue April 21, 2009 07:50 AM UTC
We are returning to Nazareth and the area near the Basilica of the Anunciation. Can someone remind me the address of the terrific Gelato place on the left side of the street as you are approaching the Basilica? It's several blocks away on that main street going to the Church. I would love to have a name, address, and hours...AND any info at all would be an assistance! Best!! kanta P.S. Any suggestions of vegetarian fare in that general area would be terrific as well!

Lake Tiberias Quiet camping in Lake Tiberias
Posted: Fri March 13, 2009 10:42 AM UTC
Hi,
I am planning on visiting from the UK in May and think I will be in the Tiberias region for 2 nights (Thurs/Fri). Are there any quiet campsites by the lake? Will Thursday and Friday be busy? Are the campsites expensive? I can't find much information about camping in israel. If it is too expensive, are there any nice cheap hostels or B&Bs right be the lake? I would like to be able to swim and relax there.

Thanks very much

Haifa District Travel from Haifa to Karmiel
Posted: Tue November 4, 2008 04:55 PM UTC
I need to travel from Haifa to Karmiel on public transportation on a weekday.

Can someone please advise the best route?

In looking at maps, I'm thinking of going from Haifa to Akko on the train and then Akko to Karmiel on the bus. Would this be the best way?

It's my first time and my Hebrew is limited, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tiberias public transport at holiday time
Posted: Tue September 16, 2008 12:23 PM UTC
I am having loads of difficulty finding out about the holiday schedules for transport around Israel between 14 and 23 October (Succot etc).

IF I manage to get accommodation in Tiberias, does anyone know if I can travel on Thursday to Ha 'On holiday village where i am expected as a dancer/singer??

I would be very grateful to fellow travellers for info, as all my attempts to reach official information are getting me nowhere fast!

I am visting my brother in Haifa in september with my fiancee. We want to take a one day tour from Haifa to Jerusalem in English, is this offered by anyone??? Or do we have to go to Jerusalem first and then start the tour from there?

Also we went to visit Eilat. What is the best way to get to Eliat from Haifa? Should we take the bus? Should we take the train to Tel Aviv and then hop a flight to Eilat?

Finally we want to visit Petra at some point for a day. What is the best way to get to Petra from Haifa?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. This will be very helpful in planning a perfect trip!
