Getting around Posted: Mon September 12, 2005 05:00 PM UTC
Hi there!
We are planning a trip to Provo around February and are trying to figure out where we are going to stay. I have a map of the island with all the hotels, but not the restaurants. Given that my girlfriend and I are kind of finicky (she's vegetarian, I'm allergic to seafood), the choice of restaurants becomes a bit more important in making our decision as to where to stay. So... my question is, how easy is it to get around from place to place?
For example, Sibonne's looks fine for us, but their restaurant is pretty geared towards seafood, so we would have to go elsewhere to eat on quite a few occasions, but I can't tell how far I'd have to go!
Thank you!

questions about club med Posted: Wed July 6, 2005 03:39 AM UTC
My boyriend and I were looking to stay at club med (all-inclusive), however we were wondering if that includes gratuities and other things such as recreational sports. Also, it appears to be limited to soft drinks, beer, and wine only during meal times and then after that it includes only "one" cocktail each day? Furthermore, do you only have the choice of two activities for your stay? If anyone can clarify these questions, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

Cheap Flight and Room/Apartment Posted: Fri June 24, 2005 11:22 PM UTC
I would like to visit Provo as a base to see the Islands.
I live near london, can anyone advise me of the cheapest way to get there. Is it cheaper to fly to Miami or JFK and then onto Provo than fly direct or to Jamaica, Dominican Republic etc?
Also I need to rent a basic room or apartment there, any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

Construction and Noise at The Palms Posted: Fri May 6, 2005 04:13 AM UTC
I am thinking of booking a room at The Palms.
The hotel looks wonderful in every respect, but I have heard some complaints about noise from neighboring developments on both sides of the hotel.
Does anyone have information (preferably recent) on how bad the noise really is?
Thanks to all in advance.

Is construction noise a problem at The Sands on Grace Bay? How about on the beaches?

I've also got tentative plans to go in mid-october. I'm willing to gamble on the hurricanes, but wondering about water temp. I hear it might be cold?

First Time Travelor Posted: Sat February 12, 2005 09:08 PM UTC
My wife and I are traveling to Costa Maya Resort in the Caicos. We have been to a number of other caribbean islands but have never been there. Anyone out there with any experience traveling to the Caicos??
We are avid water people. We snorkel and are certified divers. We enjoy traveling to the secluded and remote areas of these islands.
Any suggestions on restaurants or dive operations would be appreciated.
We would be interested in knowing if there are any locals who might take us out for a day trip in there boat vs the commercial tourist boats.
Thanks for any info you could offer.....

Weather & Things to do Posted: Mon January 31, 2005 08:08 PM UTC
We will be visiting Turks & Caicos this Friday, February 4th. The weather calls for showers on Saturday and Sunday. Was just wondering, are these the showers we get in NYC? where it rains all through morning, noon and night... or can we expect few minute showers here and there.
Also, there's not much to do on the island, but can anyone make recommendations? We are there for 3 nights.
Thanks!

Wave Runner or small boat rentals? Posted: Sun December 5, 2004 02:08 AM UTC
Going to Provo in March and wanted to see if we could rent wave runners, jet skis or small boat for the day? I'm sure expenisive hourly rentals are availbable but didn't know if any marinas offer reasonable rates for all day rentals. Any ideas? Thanks.
