Barcelona NAME & TELEPHONE NUMBER OF HOTEL
Posted: Mon November 2, 2009 02:34 AM UTC
Hola, if there is anyone that either lives in the area or is familiar, could you please let us know. This is a 3 star hotel, which is located on the same side as the Casa Mila/or the La Pedrera. The 3 star hotel is located in Passeo de Gracia, right at the end of the famous La Pedrera, the hotel has about 5 floors only.. as a matter of fact, there are two adjacent hotels (two hotel next to each other). The office or the guest’s registration is on the second floor.

We check all the website possible and none of which is the hotel we are looking for. Many thanks for your input for the correct name of the hotel and the telephone number. Cheers to all!

Barcelona Are there any trade laws in Spain?
Posted: Fri October 30, 2009 01:56 AM UTC
I saw the article on Expo Souvenirs on Las Ramblas. I, too, thought the guys there were great and very helpful. I purchased a souvenir sword for my son, and I was advised that I would not be able to bring it back on the cruise ship, so I asked them to shop it and they agreed. I purchased it 9/30/2009. Today is 10/29 and I have not received it. I have sent 2 emails to them and they have not responded to me. Is anyone able to help, or tell me what my next step should be? Thanks for any help.

Thanks in advance...

Barcelona Museu Picasso I do not like contemporary paintings, should I still go?

I really do not want to miss something great but also do not want to go to one if it is not my taste for 9 euros. so for people that only like traditional oil paints and all, should I even bother to go?

many thanks

Barcelona Barcelona night on the town
Posted: Mon October 12, 2009 03:11 PM UTC
Hello,

My fiance and I are celebrating the final two nights of our honeymoon in Barcelona. We're going to be there on a Saturday and Sunday evening. I've always heard about the over-the-top Barcelona nightlife and I want to get the full experience on the Saturday night. We're both in our mid-20s and enjoy fashionable restaurants and trendy dance clubs.

What would a typical night look like? Tapas and drinks, dinner, dancing etc.? We'd appreciate recommendations on what hot spots to visit.

Many thanks!

Barcelona Life & Study in Barcelona!
Posted: Tue October 6, 2009 05:30 PM UTC
Hello there,
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the University of Barcelona and its reputation as I am thinking of taking a master programme there (Cognitive Science & Language). Also, is life expensive in Barcelona - accommodation, geleral living and food costs? I am aware that it is no doubt a fun city, but I am trying to work out if I can afford it before taking the leap! Of course, I would gladly take up a part-time job, but I think this may be difficult as I am lacking in Spanish or Catalan... Would be grateful for any advice.
Cheers...

Barcelona Food for veggies & what is Barcelona like on a champions league match day?
Posted: Tue September 29, 2009 12:19 AM UTC
We are a group of 4 vegetarians (no meat or fish) plus 1 more who eats everything arriving in Barcelona October 20th for 3-5 days. Planning to stay in an apartment (I think MH Apartments Guell was mentioned as an option)

Any tips on local veggie dishes and also places to eat for lunch and dinner?

One more question - we arrive on a Champions League football day (against a russian team), but thankfully early morning. Are there places to avoid on this day?

Barcelona January
Posted: Sat September 26, 2009 05:10 AM UTC
My husband and I are planning a two week trip to Spain and I am thinking perhaps a week in Barcelona or more and a few days in Girona. What is the average temp in January? I know it's hard to predict (I was in Istanbul at the same time of year and it was unseasonably warm and sunny so you never know), but usually? We're from Portland, Oregon and since it's around the same latitude I expecting around 50-55F. Also rain? Lots of it or not so much? Any info would be helpful. It's always hard to know where to go in winter which is unfortunately about the only time he can get time off work. We aren't much for laying around beaches. We love architecture and history. Anything you can tell me about Girona would be great. Thank you!

Barcelona Adossat Quay, Barcelona to El Prat Int'l airport
Posted: Sat September 19, 2009 02:29 AM UTC
I'll disembark from Adossat Quay (Cruise terminal, likely on "c" terminal) by the end Oct and would like to know whether or not there is a direct Airbus from terminal to the El Prat Int'l airport. If so, any website I can search for time and fare schedule. If no such bus services, how can I take the public transit to the airport.

Thanks

Barcelona Sunday night in Barcelona?
Posted: Fri September 18, 2009 08:43 PM UTC
Are bars, clubs, etc. open on Sunday nights and worth going to? I will be in Barcelona just for the night (arriving 10:45, flight out next morning at 8:30) and was thinking it might make more sense to go out for the night instead of getting a hotel. Thoughts?

If it matters for the question, my trip is in October and I am a 36-year-old female.

Thanks!

Is the T1 ticket good for multipal days?

Thanking in advance for your valuable input.

Barcelona Barcelona, Safe for solo Female Traveler?
Posted: Sun September 13, 2009 02:16 PM UTC
Hi All

I was suppose to go to Barcelona next month with a friend, however something came up and my friend had to cancel. I am torn between trying to find another companion or going by myself.

Ive never travelled on my own before, especially to a different country.

Would you recommend Barcelona to a solo female traveler? is it safe? if so which area should I stay in? what are some safety tips? Is it even worth me going on my own, or should I just wait until someone becomes avaiable (although I'm not having any luck in finding anyone.)

Also what are some fun things for a solo traveler to do in Barcelona.

Thank you so much!
