Hey,
I am traveling between Bilbao and Porto. I have been unable to find any reasonable transportation choices between these two cities. Does anyone know of an easy way to travel between these two cities. I would also be interested in traveling out of a city around Bilbao if that would make it easier. Thanks for the help!

We will be travelling from Portsmouth to Bilbao by the P&O Ferry on the 7th October. Can anyone tell me what to expect re the crossing over the Bay of Biscay. We are pretty good travellers but Ive heard some horrid tales of bad storms and gales at this time of year.

Has anyone experienced this first hand?

I am looking for information for an all-gay charter cruise that is stopping in Bilbao later this summer. There is lots of general tourist information available, I specifically need information on gay or gay-friendly restaurants, bar/clubs, shopping, gyms and beaches. Please let me know if you can help. I will be traveling thru Bilbao next month but will only have 1 day and night in the city. Could anyone make a recommendation on what I "need to see and do" while in the city. It will be my first visit to the city. Dining suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What is taxi fare from ship pier to guggenheim museum.

Hi We are going to Portsmouth (with P & O Ferries)from Bilbao. We arrive the day before and need to know where we should look to stay (not too expensive). It should be somewhere which has parking and is close enough to get to the ferry terminal the next morning. Any ideas greatly recieved!

We are 8 persons who will stay in Bilbao for some days next month. We enjoy good local cousine, and are looking forward to explore what Bilbao has to offer. Could anyone give us some advice about where to eat? We are both interested in pintxos and other local food.

We are looking for transportation choices (bus, train or ??)from Bilbao to the beginning of the Camino trail at St. Jean Pied de Port. The ALSA website doesn't seem to list any bus itineraries from Bilbao that include our pilgrimage access point. I also had some trouble in looking up a single ticket by train.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello We are staying very near Arenal in Bilbao, but we arrive on Saturday morning and leave Monday afternoon. I am desperate to buy a reasonably priced ladies leather jacket. Can anyone suggest the best shops please. Also how long does it take to walk to Moyua area from Arenal 2, and where is the 'Old Town?' Many thanks for your help.

I have an opportunity to work in bilbao and i am seriously considering it.
I have worked and lived in denmark holland belgium for considerable periods but never spain although have visited on a regular basis.
I cannot speak spanish but would be willing to learn.
What is the lifestyle like and the attitude towards brits especially as i would be living there not as a tourist.

can you recommend a good business class hotel in bilbao?

We will be going to Bilbao on the P&O mini cruise from Portsmouth on 15th August. (It's really just to see whether I have sea legs...) We will only have a Friday morning to spend in the area. Does anyone have any tips about the excursion that P&O offer to Bilbao, or if there is anything else of interest in the area that we can do in about 3 or 4 hours?

I'm flying in to Bilbao tomorrow evening, and will spend the night there.

I'll be staying on the Gran Via - wonder if someone can recommend some friendly bars etc..

(I intend to visit the Guggenheim museum on Sunday morning, before leaving for San Sebastian later in the day.)

Hi to everyone. We are staying in Bilbao on May 1 and would like to watch CL game Liverpool - Chelsea on that night. Any suggestions where we can go? Exact location would be very helpful. I learnt from the message below, that there are Irish bars like Kerry Sport Bar and Irish Stones in the town. Do they usually show CL games and English Premier League in general? Is it necessary to book in advance?

Third trip to Bilbao - stayed at Miro and Hesperia before.
Trying to decide Zenit or Petit Palace Arana? Don't mind the metro/tram, so not figuring location into the decision as much as the property/price (price is also fairly close).
Any thoughts on either or both of these hotels? Travelling in April.

hiya coming to bilbao on friday 23rd weekend my brother in law is also coming with us and just wondering wether there is any tabacs shops nearby but we are coming over on the ship and dont know from there really.

I will be spending 2 weeks this summer with my family in Cabezon de la Sal in Cantabria. We will have our car having traveled to Santurtzi/Bilbao on the P&O ferry from Portsmouth, UK. We would like to visit Bilbao for a day but I do not want to drive (and try to park) in the city of Bilbao.
Can anyone please recommend a place where I can park easily and safely outside of Bilbao and get the metro, train or bus into the centre? Perhaps something like a shopping centre near to metro station or similar? Thanks, John.
