Aruba Advice on Aruba
Posted: Wed July 26, 2006 01:59 PM UTC
I am going to Aruba for 4 days in September, I am staying at an all-inclusive resort for some R&R.
I have heard that most places accept USD$, is this true?
Is there much to do downtown?
Any MUST SEE places?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Aruba help please
Posted: Mon July 17, 2006 05:48 AM UTC
I am waiting on renewal of my passport still and I am worried I won't get it in time to go to Aruba! Is a US passport still mandatory or is there another form of identification that could be used? ALso, do they have ATM machines over there so that I could change money? I understand that they take American money, but what is the equivalent/differenc? thanks

Aruba "Realistic" Check In Time for Flight from Aruba back to USA
Posted: Tue May 9, 2006 12:15 AM UTC
Hello

If I have a 4pm scheduled flight out of Aruba on 5/24, what time should I be at the airport checking in ? I'm a little concerned that I may have to allow extra time, over and above normal extra time because of clearing US customs while still in Aruba.

I would especially like to hear from those of you who have recently traveled from Aruba back to the US. Ideally, those who flew on US Airways.

Thanks in advance.

Aruba horseback riding

What are the best ranches for horseback riding? I'd like something less crowded and off the beaten path.

Do you recommend the tour to the natural pool?

Aruba Aruba for 2 people aged 24
Posted: Mon April 3, 2006 04:23 PM UTC
Hi, Just looking at Holidays to Aruba for myself and my girlfriend, wasn't sure about Aruba because the travel agent wasn't at all helpful, what is there to do on the island, how nice are the beaches, is the sea crystal blue?
Also we would be staying @ the Tamarijn beach resort, any first hand experience of what the hotel is like, also we do you think there is enough on the island to keep us busy, as we like to explore.

Many Thanks in advance

Aruba Cost...
Posted: Sat December 24, 2005 04:59 AM UTC
Hello,

I am new here but i would like to know why everything in Aruba is so expensive? Especially the hotels. They average about $400 a night for the good hotels. Is food just as expensive as the hotels?

Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a reasonably priced flight from Aruba to the Margarita Islands? I am not sure if I should book something on-line or just wait until I am in Aruba to get the tickets. I wan't sure if there were any local vendors that flight to the islands for cheaper prices?

Thanks,

Aruba Shy Single Guy...solo trip to Aruba 11/19 - 11/26...tips for meeting single women?
Posted: Fri October 7, 2005 03:43 AM UTC
Hey Folks,
I've got a week at the Caribbean Palm Village Resort from the 19th of November to the 26th.
(Anybody stayed at this place?)
Had plans to travel with a lady friend, but plans changed and now I'm going solo.
Looking for tips for the solo/single traveler to Aruba. Where can a single guy go and
strike up a conversation with a lovely lady? Perhaps you have advice for a solo vacation?
Something other than a bar?
Suggestions anyone? Thanks for any help.

Aruba Seeking a great 5-day itinerary for a trip in September
Posted: Tue August 30, 2005 06:48 PM UTC
Hello :)

My husband and I have booked a trip to Aruba for the 3rd week of September, to celebrate our first anniversary. We will be there for 5 days and have been looking online for ideas of fun activities to do. We are both into hiking, biking, kayaking, snorkeling and SCUBA, but I would also like to know about great stuff to do while exploring the restaurants, nightlife and cultural life. Any advice for a couple of newlyweds?

Thanks a million!

Where is the best place to stay if you want to be close to Oranjenstad downtown and the beach? We would love to have a drink in the evening without the hassle with taxis back to the hotel. Does anyone know the cost of rental cars per day?
Any nice hotels? Seafood restaurants?

Aruba WINDY OR TOO BUGGY IN ARUBA? DIVI OR TAMARIJN ?
Posted: Tue May 17, 2005 11:48 AM UTC
WE ARE LOOKING TO TRAVEL TO ARUBA THE END OF AUGUST. IS IT TOO WINDY THERE? WE HEARD THE WIND KICKS UP THE SAND WHEN YOU ARE LYING ON THE BEACH BUT ALSO HEARD THIS IS ONLY AT SOME RESORTS, IT DEPENDS ON WHERE IT IS. ALSO SOMEONE HAD TOLD US THAT THE H/I SUNSPREE HAS A REAL NICE BEACH NOT LIKE THE OTHERS WHICH ARE NOT JUST SAND BUT ROCKS, SHELLS, ETC. HOW ARE THE BEACHES? WE ARE LOOKING INTO GOING A/I ONLY SO WE ARE THINKING MAYBE THE DIVI ARUBA A/I OR THE TAMARIJN BUT WITH THE EXTRA PKG (NOT SURE WHAT IT IS CALLED?) SO WE CAN USE THE DIVI AS WELL. FOR SOME REASON THE DIVI AUTOMATICALLY INCL. THE SISTER RESORT BUT IT DOES NOT WORK THE OTHER WAY AROUND. WE ALSO LOOKED INTO THE WYNDHAM OR ARUBA GRAND BUT THINKING ONE OF THE OTHERS UNLESS SOMEONE CAN PERSUADE US OTHERWISE. WE ALSO HEARD THE FLIES ARE EVERWHERE WHEN YOU ARE EATING, HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS? I UNDERSTAND IT IS HOT BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT IN THE CARRIBEAN, SOMEONE HAD SAID IT IS UNBEARABLE, IS THAT TRUE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR? WE WANT A CLEAN ROOM, RESORT THAT HAS BEEN UPDATED POSSIBLY BUT NOT RUN DOWN AND A NON SMOKING RM DUE TO LUNG PROBLEMS. THANKS!!

Aruba Questions for Trip in April
Posted: Wed March 16, 2005 05:10 PM UTC
I will be traveling with my husband and female friend to Aruba, are the tourists there usually with families or spouses?

What is the range in price for excursions, car/jeep/scooter rental, food, etc.?

How is the shopping? Do you negotiate in the markets?

Has anyone stayed at La Cabana? Is there a grocery market near by? How are the costs?

Any help with any of the above questions will be wonderful!

Thanks. MW
