Hostal or Hostel....two nights or one?...and the sol.com Posted: Wed February 28, 2007 10:37 AM UTC
I have been having such trouble finding a cheap place to stay Easter week, and have found Hostal Osio to have a room, or the backpackers....Albergue Juvenil de Cordoba. Anyone have experience with either of these? I seem to only be able to reserve the Hostal Osio through sol.com and wondered if anyone has had experience with reserving through this website...is it reliable?
Also, is there enough to see in Cordoba for two days?
Many thanks!

hotel for 24th Feb! quick! Posted: Fri February 23, 2007 08:58 PM UTC
I am travelling tomorrow early in the morning to cordoba for 1 night and I am having a few problems getting availability for accomodation, I was hoping to stay at the youth hostel but it is full! I am travelling on my own so they would preferably have a single room. I´ve been on a few websites but they are either full or only have expensive accomodation left. please can someone recommend somewhere fairly central and cheap. Or if i just go to the tourist information center when I arrive would they be able to find me something - thanks!!

I will be going to Córdoba before heading to Seville.
Would appreciate if someone could advise me how long it takes if I follow this walking tour. ( http://www.infocordoba.com/spain/andalusia/cordoba/sightseeing/cordoba_historic_centre_walk.htm )
And also, how do you get to town from the train station?
Thanks in advance!

Parking and driving Posted: Sat March 11, 2006 06:55 AM UTC
Hello,
I will be in Cordoba in June this year for one day and I have a question related to parking and driving as both seem to be the problem there. The travel guide I read recommends we park the car outside the old town as it is easy to get lost and difficult to find a spot to park. The problem is, if I park the car outside the town and I book the hotel in the old town, how do I get from parking to the hotel. Taxi? That doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone travelled to Cordoba with a car and what was their experience?
Thanks,
Srechko

February Trip: Cordoba, Marbella, Sotogrande, or Cadiz??? Posted: Mon January 16, 2006 07:40 PM UTC
Hello all,
I am trying to decide between these 4 cities for a weekend getaway trip next month. It will be 2-3 nights and it's for our anniversary/Valentine's day. We chose the cities due to their airport proximity/airfare as well as their each having a nice NH hotel (we have enough guest points to stay at NH hotels for free).
The hotels are as follows:
Cordoba: Nh Amistad
Marbella: NH Alanda
Sotogrande: NH Sotogrande
Cadiz: NH Almenara
We know it will not be beach weather though being able to stroll the streets without 3 layers would be great. We like good dining, wine tastings, sight-seeing, shopping, local culture/shows (horses, dancing, etc). Romantic setting would be nice :-)
I'd LOVE to hear which you'd choose and why. Thanks so much for helping us plan a great getaway!
Jessica
P.S. forgive this re-posting but I just now realized that I didn't post it correctly the first time.

Is the Mezquita closed in March? Posted: Wed October 12, 2005 03:41 AM UTC
A guidebook that I'm reading doesn't provide hours for the Mezquita for November-March. I assume it's open then. Does anyone know the hours?
Thank you.

Lockers in Cordoba train station Posted: Thu August 11, 2005 05:44 PM UTC
Hi:
I need to know if there are any lockers to store my luggage while visiting Cordoba on my way to Sevilla.
Although I am aware that most major stations do have them, because of recent bombings I wasn't sure if this service are still provided.
Thanks

Maddis Posted: Sat July 2, 2005 09:44 PM UTC
Does anyone know if advance purchase or reservation is needed for the bus going from Cordoba to Granada in August?
Are there any trains going from Cordoba to Granada?
Any recommendations out there for how/where to purchase these in advance, as I've been told not to wait during high season?
Much appreciated!

Granada to Cordoba Posted: Sun January 30, 2005 11:05 AM UTC
Hola,
We will be in Malaga for two weeks in May as a base for our travels. On May 2nd we will be driving to Granada for two nights during the Festival of the Crosses. We will leave Granada on the morning of May 4th.
Questions: • Would it be very difficult to drive from Granada to Cordoba for lunch and an afternoon of sightseeing? How long would the drive take?
• Once we leave Cordoba how would it be driving back to our base
