I'm going to be in St. Kitts on Sunday Jan 17th. I've already done the narrow gauge train trip. I particularly wanted to see Brimstone Fortress, but someone who has been says it was underwhelming.

I could take a tour from the ship for $50 each which includes .". 10-acre Romney Gardens and the Caribelle Batik Studios for orientation and shopping. The highlight of your tour will be when you explore the 300-year-old Brimstone Hill Fortress, also known as The Gibraltar of the West Indies."

I'm not particularly interested in the Shop Op at the Batik studios, so how difficult would it be to hire a taxi to do this on our own?

We are taking a cruise which stops in St. Kitts....any suggestions for a nice day, where we don't have to be shuffled around by a tour guide etc...? I heard there are many beaches to see....should we rent a moped? Any suggestions on how to best spend our time would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how much spending money we should bring for a one week vacation to Saint Kitts in July....we are staying at the Marriott which I heard the food prices there are high....so we would like to explore the Island for places to eat, and do the usual tourist stuff and buy trinkets etc....so anyone know how much money to aim on bringing? (in american dollars please?

KHT Land Holdings purchased the Turtle Beach Bar & Grill in St. Kitts. The restaurant closed on July 29th for renovations and repairs.

The former owners are building a new beach bar called Reggae Beach Bar on beautiful Cockleshell Beach. It is scheduled to open the end of October.

We've just been allocated tickets to the World Cup Cricket Game Australia vs South Africa on 24th March 2007 in St Kitts. Now we have to find accommodation - preferably beach-side as we'll be in St Kitts for 4 days. We're considering Timothy Beach Resort - anyone stayed there? Also, the sugar train tour sounds like fun - any comments?

I booked a flight to St. Thomas and now can't get accomodations there, but I can in St Kitt. How much distance is there between the two and is there an economical way to get from St.Thomas to St. Kitt.

Hi, I am interested in getting married in Nevis in June 2006. Can anyone suggest a good wedding planner and a nice place that can accommodate at least 20 persons. I am also interested in a romantic place for my fiancee and I to stay as we do not want to stay with our guests.

We're traveling to Nevis next April to get married. Planning on staying at Montpelier Plantation Inn becuase we've read so many great reviews of it and we're planning on eating at all of the great places that everyone has suggested.

The question is travel - It seems like it would be beneficial to rent a car in order to really see the island, but my fiance thought it would be more fun to rent a scooter for at least a few days. Does anyone know if that is possible there? I can't find anything on it on the web. Are the roads decent enough for it or would we be limited on where we could travel.

Any other advice for us? We've never been south of Florida! Thanks!

Even though it doesn't seem that the St Kitts forum gets much response here, I thought I'd post this ? anyway and give the forum some action. So, I just booked a week for next month at the Marriot Resort and Royal Beach Casino. Has anyone ever stayed there or near there and have any cool tips as what to do? I am hoping to check out some of the rain forest and see some cool wildlife in addition to water sports, ect. Any tips would be appreciated or thoughts about mid June weather.

We are thinking on booking a holiday in St. Kitts, near the capital, and can't decide whether to book "room only" or "Full board". The cost difference for 2 weeks is GB £400 per person. Any up to date information on cost of meals, local drinks, tea, coffee, soft drinks woud be appreciated

My question is, do I need my passport to travel there or can I take an ID or something, else to let them know (in the airport) that I am me!!! Planning a trip to Saint Kitts in Nov/Dec of this year. Any ideas on finding the least expensive airfares from USA (depart from anywhere but probably Ft. Lauderdale or Miami) to Saint Kitts. I've done much research and so fare least expensive RT from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami is $421.

I'm thinking about heading to St. Kitts with a friend for the "BIG 45". In the past, I've spend all my time with friends in Cozumel, need a change this year. I'll be traveling in August. I've looked up information about the island, but nothing seems to come up about local clubs that offer a laid back, have a few drinks, listen to local music place. Do you know any such place? I don't want to spend a birthday without a little bit of fun.
