Hi I am travelling to l'estartit with my family at the end of May, staying in villas piscis apartments, has anybody any experience of these apartments? also wondering if many restaurants and bars are open at the end of may in l'estartit?
And finally any cheap ish option for airport transfers? Was quoted 90eu each way which is a bit steep and I think i'd rather rent a car for that but if anybody knows anything cheaper it would be great. There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children.
Moltes gracies

Can anyone give me any advice on fishing in Estartit? I have been told there is a lake and a river there which hold carp, where abouts would i find these in relation to the Flamingo Apartments, i.e- which way would i go to find them, are they still fishable, do i need a licence? Failing all that what is the fishing like in the harbour, what bait would i use, what fish could i catch, and do i need a licence? Any advice would be great, thanks.

Hi, myself and family are spending a week in Estartit in September, we went June 2010 and weather was excellent obviously for the time of year, but in September ( early Sept by the way ) can anyone tell me what to expect weather wise?? Is it still beach weather and sitting by the pool weather? warm enough to catch the sun?? Any other Estartit lovers? I used to go there with my parents in the 80s and it was thriving then, but when i took my family in 2010 it seems to have slowed down a bit which is a shame as it is an ideal place for families, really friendly people etc and plenty of decent bars and stuff like Tex mex and Clancys for a breakfast or an english meal at tea time, but it does seem a lot quieter these days, my family loved the place still just like i did all those years ago when i was a kid. Any help on the weather question greatly appreciated, cheers

Some friends and I are diving off the coast of L'Estartit at the start of April and I was wondering if the restaurants and bars are going to be open this early in the season ? Our other option is to head back into Barcelona, but perhaps there is a bigger more lively town on the coast. Thanks.

I will be driving down to Estartit next year in July in my Motorhome and would like to stay in a fairly small and quiet site,In the 1970's I stayed on the Camping Estartit site for 6 months and have found out it's still going ( I do believe a danish chap called Joe owned it then)
I've not been able to find it on any campsite lists but can find it if I look up Camping Estartit,
Question=Is it still going?,whats it like?and is it near the new roundabout?
Is Tony Murry's Bar Tortuga still about?
Regards

On the site I read:
When traveling to Barcelona i would recommend the train. You can catch the train in a village near L'estartit and park your car there. In about an hour you''ll be in Barcelona , Central Station.

But I can't find a train station in the direct neighbourhood, and train from Girona is 1h20. What is the best way to get from Estartit to Barcelona with public transport?

2nd question; where can I find a timetable?

Thanks in advance,
Joeri

We'll be staying in L'Estartit at the end of August - and have heard that the best way to get to Barcelona is to take a train from a nearby village - can anyone tell us the name of that village? How long does the train take and where does it go to in Barcelona?

Also, does anyone know of any other good day trips that can be done from L'Estartit (we'll have our own car, but would prefer using local transport whenever possible)

Thanks!

My husband and I would like to go camping this summer in or near L'Estartit - but we don't want to go to one of the big sites, which have loads of facilities - just a hot shower and some shade will do us fine (and not too far from the beach if possible....)

Any suggestions?

We are arranging our own flights and accommodation for our holiday this year.

Does anyone know of a website or information regarding Bus routes from Gerona Airport to Estartit? We have looked into taxi/transfers etc and find the prices very expensive.

We know that a regular service ran from Reus to Salou and are hoping that its the same in Gerona/Estartit.

We will be travelling in September 06 so any information or help would be greatly accepted.

Thank you.
