Hi there. I made a school-boy error yesterday and booked a flght to Barcelona (GRO), assuming it would be a taxi ride away from the centre of Barcelona. How wrong I was! I don't think I'll be the first or last to be misled by Ryanair - but I should have researched it first! Anyway, we have one night only in Girona and hope you can can help with a few questions to make our short stay a happy one.

1. How long would a taxi ride take from the airport to the centre of Girona?
2. How much would this taxi cost?
3. Can you reccommend a nice central hotel for me and the wife for under 75 euros per night?
4. Can you reccommend a nice restaurant for a romantic meal?
5. Are there plenty of bars to choose from?

Any further information would also be gratefully received.

My boyfriend and myself are travelling to Barcelona for 10 days through ryanair (girona airport).Getting to barcelona is ok...however we came across a slight problem with getting back. Our flight (to Malta) leaves at 6.45am therefore we need to be at the airport by 4.30am. We were planning on lingering around Barcelona till the late hours and then just getting an early bus to girona airport and waiting/sleeping it off there. However we realised that on Saturday there is no early bus!!! Do we have wrong information? All the timetables we found say there is no bus in the early morning from barna to girona airport.

If this is so... we figured our other option would be to travel to girona city during the day and check in to a cheap hotel/hostel for the 'night' and then get the bus from girona to the airport. We found there is one that leaves at 4am and arrives at 4.25am. Is this correct? and is this reliable? Any suggestions for a place to stay close to the bus station??

Could anyone advise whether Girona Central Bus/Train Station have lockers and at what charge these can be hired at, also does the station have any shower facilities too, better still does the station have a website please?

I would be grateful if someone could reply to whether there are any lockers and showers facilities at Girona Bus / Train Station, as I will be going there later this year on a long day trip and would obviously like to leave some baggage somewhere secure and also have a shower before I go to the bars and clubs?

Would like to stay in Gerona Centre an extra day instead of spending a night at a BCN hotel. With a 1:00 PM flight out of Barcelona need the quickest, least expensive way to get from Gerona Centre to BCN.

Please inform about an affordable hotel (below 70/80 euros for a couple) in the center of Girona, if possible close to train station.

Please can somebody help?! I am going ot camping la Siesta, flying to Girona airport and was looking at how to get there, preferably by public transport. If this is not possible any clues as t othe price of a taxi and any reputable companies?

Everyone seems to want to go to Barcelona, but I would like to visit Girona first. So which bus should I take from the airport to reach the city center (or the station), where can i find it (I guess somewhere in front of the airport), how often are the buses and what is the price?

We're arriving Barcelona Airport and need to get to Girona by train. How is the best way to do this? Is there a train leaving from the airport that goes to Girona or do we somehow get to a main train station and if so which train station? What times do the trains leave? We are meeting our friends in Girona and need to tell them what time we will arrive.

A friend and I are having a long weekend in the Gerona Area in July, we will probably head for the coast and maybe Tossa de Mar for a start, Then into the mountains for a day or two before rounding off the trip with a day in Gerona.

My question is can anyone recommend where to head for in the mountains within striking distance of Gerona, Looking for somewhere nice that maybe we could take an afternoon walk from, maybe somewhere we can stay in an agroturismo or B+B / Pension.

How much will a taxi from Cadaques to Girona airport cost? Travelling Monday week, early morning.

Hello, All! I have spent the last 5 hours attempting to find the least exspensive route from GRO to Tossa De Mar. HELP! Some sites don't even have prices. If you suggest a company please share about how much it will cost USD, or Euro. Also, what other costal town would you suggest traveling to from GRO that's inexpensive to get to. We're on a budget, but want to hang out on the Med. Thank you so very much!!!

We are looking to transfer four people from Girona airport to La Pineda,Costa Dorada at approx 9pm on Saturday 26th May but are struggling to come up with anything that doesnt cost the earth. Any ideas?

Hi!I wonder if someone can help me.I need to know how can i go from the Barcelona airport to the Girona airport.Is there some direct connection from one airport to the other?I'm traveling with three other people so the best way would be by bus plus we'll have a tight schedule.We will arrive to Barcelona airport at 14:00 and we have a flight to catch at 18:50 at Girona airport!I'm afraid that there will not be enough time to travel and make it in time for the check-in.Please i really need help.If someone has some information about this,please share it me.Thank You

Can anyone recommend a few resorts on the north of the Costa Brava where I could stay for a couple of nights each. I am looking for a quiet but not too quiet place with a good selection of hotels, restaurantes and bars, preferably on the coast but if you know of any inland towns worth a stay include them as well. Also is Girona a good choice for a couple of nights stay.

Whilst in Calella de Palafrugell last year we happened upon a caravan storage company in Palafrugell and got a leaflet of them with a view to storing our touring caravan this year. Unfortunately we managed to loos the leaflet and all contact details. Can antone help us out with the contact details for Camping Palafrugell with caravan storage facilities.

Will be arriving at Girona Airport at 9:00PM on December 30, 2006 via RyanAir and will be staying in a hotel in Barcelona. Will there be difficulties getting a bus from the airport to the city of Barcelona? Can bus tickets (round trip bus tickets) be bought within the airport.
Please help.
