Transportation Posted: Thu May 14, 2009 08:21 PM UTC
My family and i are going to Torroella De Montgri (El Delfin Verde) in the next week and due to time, we have not even thought about the transport from Girona Airport until this week. However, contacted the booking agent, who wish ti charge us in excess £300+ for travel which to me is extortionate. Is there public transport available e.g. coach/ train?

Transfers Posted: Thu April 30, 2009 07:11 PM UTC
I have booked a trip with my sister we have 2 kids. We need to get from the airport in Gerona at around 19.40hrs on friday evening on Jun 12th. Is it easy to get a bus into Estartit from the airport? The charges with the travel company were very expensive but we are a bit concerned that we may have difficulty getting to Estartit.

English money in Calella Posted: Wed March 11, 2009 01:04 AM UTC
Hi
We are off to Calella next week. A friend of a friend said the tabacs are now accepting english money? Has anyone heard of this? Just wondering if its worth changing our pounds (we are staying AI) would we be better waiting till we got there? Does anyone know if its just tabacs that are accepting english money or are other businesses accepting them at the moment?
Thanks
Joan

Walking tour of Girona Posted: Tue February 17, 2009 10:19 PM UTC
According to their web site, the local tourist bureau offers a 2-3 hour walking tour of the town (in English) for about 10 euros per person. Actually, I prefer to do it myself with appropriate literature, but I can't find anything on the Internet with enough detail. Also, the time of the tour isn't very convenient for me. I don't mind paying the money and working out something with the inconvenient hour - if it's worth it. Does anyone have any experience with this tour and its quality? I thank you very much.

Car Hire Girona Airport Posted: Tue September 16, 2008 10:38 PM UTC
Does anyone know of a car hire company that operates a full return full fuel policy for hire of 5 days. Most I have come across only operate full return empty. I don't expect to use half a tank thus leaving 30 or more euros in the tank on return.

Thursday night in Girona Posted: Sun August 3, 2008 07:43 PM UTC
Hi everybody,
I will be in Girona on Thursday night and I am looking
for a really local place to have some beer or wine.
We will be arriving very late (11 pm) at the bus centre and would
have some drinks before going to the hotel (Via Augusta).
What I am looking for is a very basic traditional place where
you get a lot for little money.
By the way, is there any bus service at night or only taxi?
Thank you so much for your advice!!

I really need some advice.
I'm going to travel all alone to Spain in a few days, and I have absolutely no idea, how to get from Girona airport to L'estartit.
If it's a bus; where can I see the route plan, and how expensive is it?
I really hope, that I can get some answers quickly :-)
Thank you very much.
