Posted: Mon November 5, 2007 10:44 PM UTC
Ill be going to Ibiza in May 2008 with a few friends. We are in our early 30's and are looking for some good fun. We also like peace and rest in the afternoon. Where is the best area on the island to stay? We will only be there for four days and want to see and do as much as we can. Thanks.

Ibiza Playa d'en Bossa
Posted: Wed September 19, 2007 07:10 PM UTC
I am thinking of going to Ibiza next year in Aug as our family holiday. Normally about 20 of us travel together and have been to Majorca, Cyprus, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Portugal etc etc (your main package holiday destinations) We are thinking of staying in the Ebano Apts in Playa d'en Bossa but I really want to know if its going to be way to lively/noisy/full of young drunken teens. I myself love clubbing however my mother and mother in law are in their late 50's and certainly dont! But they do like nice pubs to go to and also like going for walks during the day. Is this going to suit us. We travel with children ages from 4 - 10 and also 2 infants this year. Any help would be great.

Ibiza Best SCOOTER rental?
Posted: Sun September 2, 2007 05:56 PM UTC
I'm gonna be staying in Playa Den' Bossa at the last week of September for a week.

Thinking to rent a SCOOTER (pref 125cc) during the stay.
Could anyone give me an advice on best scooter rental deals in town?
BUDGET is the key word!

Also would like to get around the rest of the island by scooter (San An, Portinatx, Es Cana, etc).
Is that possible?
Has anyone tried it?

The plan is to use scooter as the main transport.

How about parking?
Regularly available anywhere?

If my questions are obseen, then how about pedals?
Any best bicycle rental deals?
Althought, not planning on trip to other towns by bicycle....
Maybe just to go to Ibiza town.

Thanks, guys.

Ibiza Anyone in Ibiza Aug 31-Sept 8?
Posted: Thu August 23, 2007 05:14 AM UTC
I might end up traveling alone on the most desired trip so far in my life and I'm kinda bummed. Bought a ticket for the BF and now not so sure he will be coming along. So... I have a nice place in Santa Eulalia all to myself. I'm into the club scene but also want to explore the island and beaches. Would love to meet up with people, I've never traveled solo and can't say I'm looking forward to it. I'm 34 and live in the Washington DC area.
Thanks!

Ibiza Travel advisory Ibiza 14 July 2007 - oil pollution
Posted: Sat July 14, 2007 12:51 PM UTC
Fuel oil from a freighter that sank after hitting a well-charted rock off the coast of Ibiza continues to be washed ashore, driven by strong winds. Affected beaches are: Platja de Talamanca and Platja d'en Bossa. Beaches in South-West Ibiza are currently most at risk. The Greenpeace vessel "Rainbow Warrior" is patrolling the zone.

Ibiza Oil spill 11 July 2007 - should I cancel?
Posted: Wed July 11, 2007 07:47 PM UTC
I was thinking of staying on Ibiza's South Coast but a friend of mine has just sent me news that a freighter has collided with a rock close offshore and sunk. Apparently, according to the El Pais article, it is leaking 150 tons of heavy fuel oil and stiff winds are driving the spill on to the beaches. What should I do - cancel or rejoice that I can save money on sun screen? I don't know what the filter factor for fuel oil is but I imagine it must be a 100 plus.

He sent me the news story but as you can see, it is all in Spanish (see below).

Ibiza driving in Ibiza and the best beaches
Posted: Mon June 25, 2007 06:50 PM UTC
From what I have read and been told I need to rent a car in Ibiza. How are the driving conditions there? When I go it will be with a large group of people, so we would rent two 7 person cars; will they be easy to manuever around the island? Also, if I am going to rent cars to go to the beaches I would rather stay closer to nightlife so we can walk, on what part of the island should i stay. lastly, what are your favorite beaches? I would love to go to the ones with white sand and crystal blue water.

Thanks!

Ibiza where to stay on the island?
Posted: Mon June 25, 2007 05:02 PM UTC
Is there anywhere to stay on the island where you wouldn't need to have a car the entire time to go to the beaches and nightlife? If so, is this a beautiful part of the island?
