Hi all, I have just booked Puerto Del Carmen for the 2nd week in August, we are staying at the Lanzarote Apartments. can any one give me any info on these as I am travelling with a 4 year old - Is there a hair dryer does the Tv have a cartoon channel any info would be greatly appreciated

hi i am wanting to get from puorto del carmen to the teguise market on a sunday what is the best way of getting there without having a car and how long does it take thanks Tim

hi we arrive lateish on sunday 11th may about 10pm will there be any restraunts or fast food places to eat at that time we are staying at the playa club apartments near the strip, so directions to these places would be most helpful.also will there be any supermarkets open at this time

Is there a store called Stradivarius at the shopping center??

We were here in Feb '08 and liked it so much we are coming back again in Mid April! How lively will it be?

As you may know the rate for the pound v euro is terrible! (1.29euro=£1)
Would be better if I were to bring sterling and change to euro when I get there next week?

Been to Lanzarote a few times but this time we haven"t booked our transfares how much will a taxi cost from the airport to Costa Tequise(Hotetur Puerto Tahiche)also has anybody stayed in the hotel any info would be great.Also how much is the ferry to Fortafenture and what are the times of sailing.

me and my husband are looking for some winter sunshine and thought of Lanzarote.
we have never been to Canary Islands before, could somebody please let me know what is it like?
what is the weather like at the beginning of February? we are looking for somewhere we can swim and get some tan.
also we dont like places which are really touristy, is there anywhere to stay without being surrounded by loads of english families with kids or wild party -goers?

I'm going to spend a few days at Lanzarote in December.
I read, that at Fuerteventura is windy weather (it was the reason, that I resigned this destination) and I wonder wheter at Lanzarote is the same.
Have you any experiences about it?

We're planning to head over to Lanzarote for a day, and I'm trying to figure out realistically what I can fit in a day (and what's really worth seeing). Is this a reasonable itinerary? Is there something we should add or omit?

Rent a car in the morning, and drive from Arrecife over through the vineyards at La Gerķa (perhaps sample the wine?) then up to Timanfaya. See the volcanic demonstrations, follow the Ruta de los Volcanes, and possibly do the camel ride. Have lunch at El Diabolo with the volcanic grill (this sounds cool - is it?).

In the afternoon, drive over to Teguise and take the scenic road up to Harķa. From there, head over to Jameos del Agua.

So, is that crazy? Any idea how long each section would take?

Hi we are thinking of returning to lanzarote this october previously stayed at lanzarote princess few years back and just want a nice hotel for a 7 to 10 night stay in the sun with good facilities & nice food & perhaps good entertainment. we saw some reasonably good deals for the Rubicon which i know is an older hotel but has some regular return visitors.

so just wondered if anyone has been & what they thought about it & any tips if we booked up to go. thanks a lot Jane (feag)

Ill be travelling around the island a bit, for slightly over a week. I have a weeks accommodation organised but will have to add on some extra nights. Are there hostels or budget hotels on the island? Preferably in a nice area?

Hi, I am going to Lanzarote for my Holiday's staying in Playa Blanca in the South of the Island.

Is there any Gay bars, cafe or clubs near to here? I know of the ones in P.D.C. in the CC Atlantico, but wanted to know if anyone had any local knowledge of Gay or Gay friendly bars near by, where do the Islands gay's socialise?

What is Carnival like in Lanzarote? Anyone been? Worth going? I guess it does not compare to Gran Canaria and Tenerife but, having been to both before, I would like to try a different island next year. Any feedback appreciated.

I was thinking of going to Lanzarote this summer in August with some friends, but I have few questions..
I'm used to have holidays in greek islands (Mykonos, Santorini...) or Formentera/Ibiza,
and I liked that kind of holiday: sandy beaches, beautiful water, lot of "chic" places (I'm 29, not a teen-age!!) rto go out at night..
What's about Lanzarote? Because some people told me that is really quiet...will I get bored?

One of my favorite travel interests is snorkeling. I don't suppose it
will be enough time during my Lanzarote visit to organize some diving expedition but for sure I would like snorkeling a bit ... SO maybe you know some Lanzarote beaches where I could observe interesting underwater landscape and sea creatures?

there was a commerical unit suggested particularly for clothes shopping between puerto del carmen and arrecife off the motor way. Any name on this or directions to get to this. I would appreciate any info and also any info on shopping in arrecife

I'm coming to Puerto del Carmen in may to celebrate my friends birthday and i have been planning a picnic for that big day. So, I'm asking if anyone has suggestions for a nice place for a picnic (sunset scenery would be awesome) at a walking distance from Puerto del Carmen?

Just looking for some advice on airport transfer between the airport and Costa Teguise. How long should it take, how much in a taxi etc.

I don't actually mind getting public transport as i have time to kill before check-in anyway. Are there many buses from the airport and again, prices and times would be great. Thanks very much.

Could anyone tell me what price we should be expecting to pay for transfer [2 people] from airport to Puerto del Carmen please.
And how easy it is to either get a bus,taxi or any other ideas.
Am really cheesed of with travel companies charging `silly money` for airport/hotel transfer, determined not to be lazy and do it ourselves this time and save some money.

Just wondering what the weather is likely to be like in the middle of march, We arrive on 18th march for 2 weeks and are hoping to come back to rainy ireland wih a tan !!

I need any information of Lanzarote Water Park, I havee got two 16 years olds that need entertaining. Is it worth a day out how much in etc.

Is it cheaper to get a taxi from Playa Blanca or book a excusion
