weather Posted: Wed December 26, 2007 08:21 PM UTC
hi there,
I am thinking about going to Las Palmas for a week or 2 at the end of January, because I want a beach holiday. What is the weather like then, will it be hot enough to lounge and swim and surf? Im Australian but living in the Netherlands, and I want a real break from the cold, but fairly close..? it looks beautiful! but will it be what i want?
thanks!

Travelling to gran canaria Posted: Fri April 27, 2007 04:03 PM UTC
Hello
I was wondering if anyone knew where i can find the local shops (not the tourist shops) in gran canaria. Is it easy to travel around in a taxi? Is there a ferry that goes to morocco or any other place that is good to see?
Thank you

Accomodation and Transport Las Palmas Posted: Thu July 20, 2006 10:25 PM UTC
Hallo everyone,
me and my boyfriend are going to Las Palmas for 8 months and are wondering if anyone knows a place to stay for the fist couple of weeks until we find a flat? We are students and of a low budget so a room or a storage place would be also fine, until we get in touch with University.
We are arriving with 2 surfboards and bikes. How can we get from the airport to the city without killing anyone in the bus?? Or is there enough space to transfer them. Probably a taxi is too expensive or managable? Hich-hicking is out of the question, or?
Please, it would be great if someone could sent some info or ask his surrounding if maybe they want to make some extra money in renting a room.
Thank you in advance,
Carry on travelling

Disabled & Mobility Services Posted: Fri May 26, 2006 08:15 PM UTC
I am interested in communicating with any disabled or mobility impaired visitors to Gran Canaria who would like to share up-to-date information on wheelchair access in hotels, restaurants, bars etc. Anyone who uses a wheelchair, mobility scooter or other walking aid and how you have found facilities here and also the reaction and helpfulness of hotel and other service staff to access etc. I am continually updating our website at www.SolMobility.Com with this type of information and would welcome useful first hand accounts from the areas of Maspalomas, Meloneras, Playa del Ingles, Puerto Rico, Mogan, Amadores, San Agustin, Sonnenland, Arguineguin and Bahia Feliz.
Thanks in anticipation and sunny regards. Paul

Looking for a restaurant in Las Palmas Posted: Thu January 19, 2006 06:58 PM UTC
Im looking for the name and location of a restaurant. A couple of years ago my husband went to a Restaurant in Las Palmas - He thinks it may have been and Argentinian Restaurant where they served steak to cook on a hot stone. The walls were covered in peoples signatures, and you are able to sign your name on the wall. We looked for it the last time we were in Las Palmas but he could not remember where it was. He thinks it could be somewhere near Las Canteras. I would appreciate any help or any other suggestions of good restaurants along Las Canteras.
