| Alton | Traveling from Belfast to Alton Towers Posted: Mon November 20, 2006 06:27 PM UTC
Hi, i'm wanting to plan a trip from Belfast to Alton Towers for a weekend in March. I am unsure what is the best way and locations to travel to. I dont mind flying from either Belfast City or Belfast International Airports and I don't mind which airport I fly to. If somebody could give me advice on what is the best airport to travel to, and when I get there should I hire a car, get a train or any other form of transport. Any help will be very much appreciated.
regards, Steven |

| Newcastle under Lyme | Europe on $5 a Day Posted: Wed October 27, 2004 02:39 PM UTC
Many years ago, long before VT, Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, etc. there was a book called Europe on $5 and $10 a Day. At the time I thought this was a huge amount of money to travel on per day and felt I could do it on much less.
I was just wondering what young people today consider to be, what I used to call, a suicide budget? I suppose the major difference these days is that I used to hitch-hike which isn't common these days ... Alastair |

| Stoke-upon-Trent | Good pub? Posted: Wed January 14, 2004 02:21 PM UTC
We are staying in Oakham but we plan to drive to Stoke on Trent to visit the china factories. What else do we need to see while we are there? Any GOOD antique shops or markets? And lastly, do you know a good pub for lunch and a brew?
Thanks |
