Having experienced the hell that is the car rental hall at Malaga, are there car hire companies that operate away from arrivals, ones that will pick you up at arrivals and take you to their offices?

Have to go to germany for 5 days in november. I have about 8 free days following this and was thinking about going to malaga/marbella for this time. What can I expect in the in malaga in november. I also may want to spend some time in sevilla. Any advice would be helpful.

I'm flying into Malaga next week & meeting some friends for a weeks vacation. My plane arrives 3 hours before theirs. Is there time for me to leave the airport for some sightseeing and get back in 3 hours? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I recently rented a car from Record Rent a car at Malaga airport. I had the misfortune to get stuck in the mud in some road works on my way back to the airport. I contacted Record and they could not help in time to allow me to catch my plane home. Record suggested that if I could get to airport and hand over the keys they would recover the vehicle at their convenience. There was no mention of a fee or charge for this - I assumed it was covered by the insurance.
Five days after my retunr Record charge 150 Euro against my credit card without consulting me. I have attempted to reason with their Customer care to no avail. It would seem that once they have my money it is up to me to prove the case. Can anyone provide any help about a more efficient way to address this unreasonable behaviour?

Hello, I am going to be in Calahonda for a week at a time share, not finding very much information about this place. Is there a nice beach nearby? I am hoping to find some Spanish Culture, practicar mi segunda idioma, and find some authentic Spanish food. I hear Calahonda is where many Brits come to vacation? I don't plan to have a car so how difficult is it to go to the cities nearby like Marbella? Is there bus service? Any other cities that you can recommend would be appreciated. I am mostly into nature, hiking, like to go to open air markets to buy food vs grocery stores.

Can anybody suggest language schools in Malaga with a good reputation for a 2 week intensive course in Spanish with emphasis on conversation? I am a 'mature' student and would prefer to avoid the larger teaching establishments like Cervantes although any feedback would be welcome. Gracias.

Our family is traveling to Malaga in February. What is the best way to "getting" around? Do we rent a car or rely on public transport? We would like to visit tourist attractions while enjoying time away from hustle and bustle of life. We would also like to go to Alhambra.

looking for some help re a golfing holiday somewhere in spain for December or early January 2008. i am looking to be based somewhere with perhaps 2 or 3 golf courses within easy reach by taxi and somewhere that has plenty to do for our girlfriends when we are on the courses. ideally we would like somewhere that has a good nightlife and plenty of good restraunts.

perhaps someone knows of a company that specialises in golfing holidays.

Hi, i'm visiting malaga in June for one week with my husband, it's our 10th anniversary and we've managed to organise a week without the kids (thanks to wonderful parents!)

We want to do things that we probably wouldn't do with the kids. We will be hiring a car (any ideas of where we can hire a reasonable priced convertible)

I want to visit Ronda and Gibraltar and also would like to "pop over" to Morocco to ride a camel and visit a market

Any suggestions as to the best place to catch a ferry for this journey, or even who to book through

I also have not yet booked accomodation. Recommendations greatly received.I'm not sure what area to stay in - we want something not too busy but with plenty of restaurant/bar options). With having a car we would like to be based somewhere central where we can visit as many places as possible (without being too taxing)

Any suggestions. Have seen a few apartments in Duquesa - has anybody visited there?

We're going to be staying in Gibraltar this summer (2007) and want to catch a flight from Malaga airport at at 2.30in the afternoon, so we would have to be at teh airport by about 1 in the afternoon.

Even though it will be a Sunday morning that we're leaving Gibraltar on, I know that you can get stuck in the queues in and out of there for ages. How long would it take to drive from Gibraltar to Malaga airport? Is it easy to find the airport? What time d'you reckon we'd need to leave to get to the airport on time?

Which of the resorts within about 15 miles of Malaga would be the best option for an older person in February this year. I'm taking my mum she'd like a nice balcony - preferably with a sea view and a supermarket close by, hotel or apartment is OK.
We also need good public transport fairly close by as she has to have dialysis in Malaga while she is there.
