Hello I am off to Malgrat on 3 October for 7 days but don't want to stay in a touristy hotel. I have been before and liked the look of the real Malgrat town. Does anybody know a small B+B or apartment etc. I wouold appreciate your help please

can anyone advise me on accessing the train timetable for the Magrat train,I have tried the spanish rail website but cannot find the Magrat station listed,or Blanes either.Is there a website for this rail line? The only bus company that I can find is SARFA.com running between Girona airport and Magrat via Blanes.Is there a local transport link between Magrat and Tossa or LLoret de Mar?

Hi, can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to get to Gerona Airport from Malgrat on Sunday 1st June, i need to be at the airport for 10 0clock ish.

We are arriving for a holiday on 24 June 2008 (San Juan). I believe this is a public holiday so will the buses be running as usual or will we have to make alternative arrangements? Our flight will be landing at 16.25.
If the buses are running normally, can anyone tell me how far it is from the bus station to Quintasol hotel (Passieg Maritim) and directions from the bus station if possible please? Is it too far to walk or should we get a taxi?
Not been to this resort before and really looking forward to it so any advise/suggestions at all would be gratefully received.

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help, i am going to the hotel above in October and would really like to go to the Port Aventura park. We are going by a coach holiday so would need to find alternative arrangements to get there. Does anyone know how close it is or if it is possible to get a bus / train etc, cant really find any information about this at the moment

Please can anyone help. Some friends are being re directed to Reus Airport instead of Barcelona and are due to arrive at Reus at 22.00 hrs tonight (Saturday). Are there any buses or trains from the airport to take them to Malgrat de Mar (Hotel Amaraigua) Aveda del Pins 7. I have been searching the web and cannot find any. Would be grateful for any advice. Thank you.

Hi there, its my first time to Malgrat (first time to spain!) and was originally going to Tossa Beach, but as the location was full I was offered Malgrat, and im just wondering what the nightlifes like there?

Me and my family went to malgrat de mar a couple of years ago and loved it!
We got friendly with the owners of the new crown and anchor british pub as they only opend a couple of weeks befour we arived. I wonder if anybody knows if they have a web site or contact email address so we can contact them as we would like to go back there and see them again! Thanks

which train station and train do i catch from barcelona airport to get to malgrat?

I'm wondering if anyone has stayed at Monteplaya and can give me a personal review of the place? I'm going there for a week this Thursday and I've read mixed reviews. It looks like a nice place to stay though.

Also, what is the going rate for a pint of beer in Malgrat? I've got €400 to spend. We are half board too so I think it should be enough. I just dont want to drink myself poor over there!!

Hi, I'm going to be staying at the Amaraigua hotel at the end of this month for 2 weeks. Does anyone know what the hotel & the location of the hotel is like please. I've read alot of mixed reviews about the place, some good & some really bad & although I like to judge these kind of things for myself, I also like to hear other peoples opinions.
It would also be great if I could get some advice on things to do in the area please. I'm going to be with my children aged from 5-12 years, my Mum, my Brother, his friend & my sister with her 3 children.

Hi, i will be travelling with my partner and two children at the beginning of July and will be staying at the Maripin hotel in Malgrat de Mar.

We would like to go to the Port Aventura Park and have thought of two options that we are open to.

The first one is a coach transfer and a one day admission to the park, which we have managed to find for £108.

(Can anone find the tickets and transfers cheaper)

The second option to be considered is to stay in a hotel near the park for one or two nights, and buy the tickets from the resort.

(Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel close to the park, and were I might be able to purchase the tickets.

My friend and I are travelling in July, I have found coast hoppa which is £17 return bus service which is cheaper than taxi but does anyone know if it is reliable and will wait for you if plane is delayed? My other question is will it be cheaper to get a taxi or is there a bus to the nearest train station (is the nearest one in Girona city?) then get the train from the station to Malgrat de mar? Would we be saving alot? Or just more hassle?
