Can anyone give me a general idea what the weather will be like in December?

I am travelling to the RCI Exchange resort in Cala Pi. (Cala Pi Club).

Anyone know of it?

I know its well away and secluded. I am renting a car, as I believe we will need one.

Majorca Island Puerto Pollensa
Posted: Wed June 6, 2007 09:15 AM UTC
Hi there,

This may sound a strange question, but as we get no baggage allowance for our baby, and nappies for 2 weeks would weigh about 2-3kg, can anyone please tell me if I will be able to buy Pampers nappies in Puerto Pollensa?

Many Thanks.

Majorca Island URGENT!!! Hostels and Itinerary for Majorca!
Posted: Fri May 4, 2007 12:04 AM UTC
Hello mates,

Can anyone kindly give me some advice on (youth) hostel accommodation in Majorca? We are a bunch of students and we won't be able to hire a car. Basically, I've read up that the transport system in the island does not reach every part of the island, and that it is concentrated in Palma.

Therefore, I would like to know if it would be inconvenient to stay somewhere in the North/Northeastern part of the island? We're only staying for 3 nights/4 days. Are all the main attractions in Palma, and anything else can be reached via Palma?

Many thanks in advance!

Majorca Island Majorca..clubs...in spring?/distance between El Arenal & Palma?
Posted: Fri March 16, 2007 02:20 PM UTC
Hello,

I've been to Majorca before..yeah El Arenal mostly for partying ;-)..and Im looking to go there again..I'd like to go this spring some time in April, but I was wondering if there was a point in going there, at all if I want to be able to go to clubs at night?

I'd also like to go to the city of Palma during the day (maybe more than once if I really like it). Is there any easy way of transport from El Arenal to the city? and how long does it take?

thank you

Majorca Island Disability help - and a picky mother!
Posted: Sun January 14, 2007 05:26 PM UTC
HI,

I foolishly suggested that my mum ought to live a little, on the basis that you could be dead tomorrow! She said she would like to go in a plane but I didn't relise the whole thing would be this complicated.

After going round in circles for a very long time we have some up with the following, flying from the UK

Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Malta, Madeira, Sardinia, Corfu. her criteria is cheap, warm (in May), on a plane (!), some culture, possibly costal.

So I think majorca looks nice, I haven't looked at the others yet but will also post on their forums. My tricky bits are that she can't walk very far at all, really limited. I notice there is a tour bus to get around Palma, and at the spacious airport I could probably force her to get in a wheelchair seeing as no-one knows her maybe. We'r only going for maybe 3 days jsut for the experience of flying and getting away from it all to another country. What about access to beaches etc? I could taxi from a hotel I suppose. She (and me) also want to go to the 'real' Majorca rather than the busy bit.

Could anyone give me any wisdom at all please? She is starting to drive me a bit mad!

Thank you :)

Majorca Island Travelling to Majorca with a 9 month old child.
Posted: Tue October 3, 2006 11:40 AM UTC
Hello

Me, my husband and 9 month baby are going to Majorca, Alcudia, staying in Alcudia Pins Apartments. anyone been there!!! on 14 October and would like some tips about traveliing with an infant.
Can I use the water there for making up my son's formula milk.
Can I sterilise his botttles in plane boiling water or shall I take the cold water steriliser bags that come with their won tablets.
can I take a stroller/pushchair. Can you get pampers nappies out there and baby food or should I take my own.

any other hints and tips would be great.

WE would also like to go shopping so can anyone recommend markets that do crafts, jewellry and clothes. Also clothes and shoe shops, preferabley places that aren't too far to go with having a little one. I've heard Alcudia market and Inca are good and Puerto pelensia. Has anyone been there.
Would love to here from you.
Love,
an excited mother on her first holiday with baby!!

Majorca Island Wanted: Large Private villa in Puerto Pollensa or Cala D'or
Posted: Wed September 27, 2006 10:08 AM UTC
Hi, we looking for a private villa with pool for 2 x families (9 in total) for next year during school summer holidays, around 11 aug 2007 but flexible for 2-weeks stay.
We would prefer the Puerto Pollensa or Cala D'Or area with beach, restaurants, etc in walking distance. We would consider other nice resorts. We have set a maximum budget of £2K per week.
Can anyone help please?

Majorca Island Looking for bays and coves.
Posted: Tue September 12, 2006 06:10 PM UTC
We normally go to Menorca as we like small rocky bays and coves. I have been doing a little research and note that Cala d'Or has lots of them. Is there anywhere nearer to the airport like this please?
We also need to know of good self catering apartments. Any suggestions?

Majorca Island Weather in Santa Ponsa in mid September
Posted: Tue September 12, 2006 02:31 PM UTC
Hi all

I am going to Santa Ponsa next week and I was wondering what the weather is going to be like. I have checked on the internet and it says it should be roughly 25-26degrees. I think its better asking someone who has visited the island at this time of year. I would be really grateful if someone would get back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you
