Marbella Car hire
Posted: Fri July 4, 2008 07:03 AM UTC
We will be without car for the last half of our stay, and are looking into hiring a car. It seems however that all good deals are pick-up and leave at Malaga airport. Is there any way to get a good deal picking up the car in Marbella and then leaving it at Malaga airport? Or even better, picking it up at Nueva Andalucia or Puerto Banus?

Marbella Scuba Diving in Marbella/Puerto Banus
Posted: Wed April 23, 2008 09:26 AM UTC
Hi
Is there anybody who could give me some info on Scuba diving centres/schools in the Puerto Banus area?. I have heard there is one called 'the happy divers' somewhere around there. Are there any others that anyone can recommend and do they have English speaking guides/instructors? We will be staying not far from the Puerto Banus harbour and the divers amongst our party would prefer a place that is 'safe' yet 'close to home' if possible.
Anyone have any info to give or comments to make?
Thanks for your help.

Marbella Looking for unique/romantic restaurants that aren't too expensive...
Posted: Fri February 29, 2008 08:19 PM UTC
I'll be in Marbella for 3 weeks this September with my fiance, we have a place to stay but are looking for neat places to visit, eat, and just take a nice walk. We are on a budget-if you have any suggestions for innexpensive places to go, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Marbella How good is the grasp of English in Marbella?
Posted: Sat January 26, 2008 04:19 PM UTC
Hello,

I really like foreign languages (I'm German and am fluent at English and French), but right now I'm in college and don't really have much time to learn a new language if I dont want to risk dropping out (or not havin any free-time!) ;-(.

However, I'm really interested in Spain. I've been to Valencia before, which I loved and Marbella seems like a great place, too.

I just read that people who move to Marbella usually don't have to rush to learn Spanish, because there are so many English-speaking expatriates around and most Spanish people there can speak some English, too (though people like if you at least make the attempt to speak their language).

Is the grasp of English really quite good in Marbella or was that an exaggeration? Does the average person in Marbella speak some basic English?

Marbella Marbella Marriott Location
Posted: Mon January 14, 2008 05:27 AM UTC
Is it possible to walk from the Marbella Marriott to shops, market or restaurants. We have a choice of staying at the Marbella Marriott or the Andaluza Marriott and want to know if either are in good locations for walking in a nice area.

It appears that the Andaluza Marriott rooms are bigger and perhaps the resort is nicer, but may be in a poor location. Is the Marbella resort any better? Thanks

Marbella Supermarcados in Marbella
Posted: Mon December 17, 2007 09:35 AM UTC
I am interested in going to Marbella for 4-5 weeks in February and hear that the SKOL Apts are decent and in a good area. Any information on the SKOL would be appreciated. Also are there decent supermarkets within close walking distance from the SKOL as I will not have a car. Originally I was thinking of going to Benidorm but hear that the crime there is a problem so switched to Marbella - what about this area?

Marbella La Carolina area of Marbella
Posted: Sat September 15, 2007 06:18 PM UTC
Hi, we are thinking of visiting Marbella next summer. We have been scoping out villas and have seen one we like the look of - its location is described as being "in an upmarket area of Marbella known as La Carolina, conveniently situated between Marbella town and the ever popular Puerto Banus."
We dont want to to trek miles for groceries or restaraunts, and want to be able to take "trips" to surrounding areas without driving.
Can anyone tell me if this is a good area and whether buses etc pass through their to places like Banus etc ?
The villa backs onto the golden mile so im assuming the location is pretty central.
Any and all info gratefully received : )

Marbella Nightlife in Marbella during September
Posted: Tue August 28, 2007 01:05 PM UTC
Hello!

I can't wait to come to Puerto Banus/Marbella in a few weeks. I know its nearly the end of the club season and on checking Dreamers website it looks like there aren't any planned club nights in September.. I am going to be in the are 10th - 17th and would like a night out of dancing and having fun. Do you know whether any clubs are still open?

Alos, I don't drive so I wandered whether taxis are easily available in the area?

Thank you so much for your help!

Marbella things to do in and around marbella
Posted: Tue May 29, 2007 11:56 AM UTC
Hi
Can you give me some ideas of day trips that can be made from Marbella? I have been offered a holiday apt in Marbella during August and I have never been there - so trying to see if there are nice day trips that can be done with Marbella as a base because we are not too good at sitting on beaches for days on end.
Also - would you recomment Marbella for teen kids or will they be bored?
thanks

Marbella Visiting for a week, best nightlife/things to do
Posted: Sun May 13, 2007 10:01 PM UTC
Hi everyone, me and a few of my friends are coming down to marbella and wondering what the best things to do at night would be -- is cafe del mar open in may? We are not looking for standard top-40 dance clubs since these can be found anywhere; does anyone have any tips on alternative nightlife and/or nightlife unique to marbella?

thanks so much for any help with this question!!

Marbella Marbella or Puerto Banus?
Posted: Wed May 9, 2007 07:55 PM UTC
im going on a trip with my 3 girl friends, we all just turned 21 n want to go celebrate and have a very girly relaxing break.we r planning on going to either marbella or puerto banus. we have got amazing deals for hotels in both places.

marbella- gran hotel guadalupin marbella,,,2bedroom suite with private jaccuzzi, no break fast included

puerto banus- gran hotel guadalupin, 2 rooms, inclusive of breakfast and spa vouchers for each person

price for both r very similar so we dont mind. just wanted to know which place is better to stay,,,cuz both hotels sound really tempting. we r only there for 3dyas so need to maximize our time and get the best out of the trip.
