We have just booked an apartment in Rosas Del Mar (nr Ciutadella) and I would be really grateful if anybody knows anything about this area as we have never been to Minorca before.

We are a couple in our 50's ,going t Menorca for 16 days,we have been to SON SAURA it was fantastic,cant wait to go back there,do you know of any accomodation close to SON SAURA or the beach you write about ,off the beaten track & pay to pass .Thanx

I am planning to go to Menorca for a a long weekend on the 12th of June.

Would you reccomend staying in Mahon or Ciutadella or perhaps in both places? I've had a look and it seems that most nice beaches are around Ciutadella, but not sure about the nightlife. Will it be too quite there? My friends and I are after nice stylish bars/restaurants not the very touristy resorts.

Anyone been in the Prinsotel Apartments near Ciutadella?

which would you choose? have found apartment in each resort so need help making a decision! Going with 2 toddlers - any of the resort particularly recommended for children?

We are backpackers by nature so really don't want package apartment holiday. Any other recommendations of places to stay ie apartments/villas/areas when you have 2 one year olds in tow!

I already posted a question on the world forum asking for help if anybody could help me find a nice place for my mother and her boyfirend to go to for a vacation. I was stating that I am looking for a small island in tropical climate, preferably with palmtrees ( my Mom loves those =D) , quiet and not too expensive. Menorca was suggested to me there and so I was wondering if anybody from here can help me out with some details.
They would like to travel within the time of May - June. for maybe a week or two. My Mom would really like an island that is so small that she can walk around it, or at least manage in a day trip. Is that possible with Menorca?
Also, is there an area to recommend, where there is a palm tree beach with as few tourists as possible around? They would not like staying in a big crowded hotel. Since they don't have kids , they don't need entertainment for children and just the same they are very humble about any other special features that might serve as entertainment, for they would just like to relax after working too much and too long.
Since I think they greatly deserve it , I try to be as much of a help as I can to find something nice for them, and I am truly greatful for any suggestions or advice that might lead to them having a pleasant journey.

We are considering renting a villa in Minorca in 2008 and are currently looking at the Fornells or Binebeca areas. Can anybody give me any information on either of these areas i.e. bars/restaurants/beaches etc? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm planning my honeymoon (!!!) in Menorca, perhaps Citudella or Cala 'n Porter. My question is: is it likely to be warm enough (air and water temp) to swim at the beach in late April/early May? I want a fab beach vacation, but can't get clear info about the weather for swimming/bathing.

We're going to stay on Prinsotel La Caleta Hotel, in Cala Santandrķa. What do you have to say about this hotel?

We would like to go out, to dance salsa. Is there any place where we can do it, in Ciutadella perhaps???

I know that Minorca is an astonishing place. Can you indicate some places that we shouldn't miss???

Hi, looking at staying at this hotel in Sept and looking at reviews, everyone says to try and book a sea view. Has anyone stayed in a suite, are they worth it for a week? and do they have sea views?

We are thinking of booking this hotel in early October 07 for 4 days (4 adults) Can anybody give me any inforamtion on this hotel, the standard and food, the location of hotel , what is around the hotel, bars etc.

Also what the weather is like that time of year

and approximate taxi price.

Hi we can only do a week away - end of September and wondered to try Minorca as we have heard it is pretty, we want some nice weather (not sure what it is like end of Sept) we have looked but maybe others may know more..

We want a nice hotel, with good facilities, not too many kids & we are both Vegetarian so with a good selection for meals in eve as prob will do H/B

We have been quoted for quite a few hotels and one that comes up with a good price is the Valentin Star in Caln'Bosch (not spelt right i know!)anyone been? is it nice?

If not can anyone recommened another place/hotel/resort.

I'm looking for a quiet room, bed and breakfast, small apartment to rent in Menorca/Minorca for the days of August 21-24, 2006. I am not the resort type and would rather stay in an understated small village. I'm the type to roll into town and see if there's a room for rent. Any suggestions?

Looking at going to Menorca for a family holiday. Narrowed it down to the Prinsotel La Caleta Apartments in Cala Santandria or Mar Blau Apartments in Son Bou.
Has anyone stayed at either accommodation ? Please let me know what it is like - if they are child friendly and how near they are to restaurants/beach/shops etc. We are taking a baby and a ten year old so I want to make sure it is suitable.

Have just booked one week at these apts for the May half-term and was wondering if anyone has stayed there or could give me any info on the resort. We will have 2 boys of 12&13yrs with us and it is our first time in Menorca. What are prices like for eating out? Is it a nice beach for swimming? Many thanks.

We will be taking a 1 week holiday centred around Arenal D'En Castell in early OCtober. We need to know how much spending money to take. We will hire a car for 3 or 4 days and assume that can be done locally. We need to budget for eating out once a day, a little drinking and attraction prices. Any advice will be gratefully accepted.

Myself and partner are wanting a Holiday in late July / August. For basically Sun and rest time. Personally we don't want tack! Not like in other Med resorts. We would like to go somewhere quiet etc.

Therefore what is Menorca like? will it offer these requirements? If so where is the best place to go???

If not has anybody got any other suggested areas, that may fit the bill.

I will be taking my first trip to Menorca this summer. I assume that English is widely spoken due to the great numbers of British tourists, but should I also attempt to learn some Spanish? Is Castillian spoken, or should I come prepared for Catalan, too? Thanks for any advice!

We are visiting Santo Tomas early September this year. It is our first trip abroad for some five years. We are staying at the Mestral Llebeig Apartments and will be hiring a car to explore.
