Hi All - hoping you can help me out with a query.

We are looking to book a seven night holiday in mid April 2008, and was hoping that someone could let us know what kind of weather we can expect at that time of the year (both during the day and at night).

We'd hope to be able to swim in hotel pools, or at the beach - is this realistic in April ?

Taking a flight with JET 2 next week to palma from Manchester.I booked last week. Can anyone clarify their baggage rules. I've paid £10 return for 1 checked in bag of 18kg. Does this mean I have no hand baggage allowance at all if this weighs in at 18kg exactly. or have I still an allowance of 10 kg on top of this .
If my checked in bag is 14kg does this mean I have an allowance of 4 kg for hand luggage.
Can anyone help?

Is there any chance that I can go by ferry or boat from Mallorca to Barcelona? Because as far as I know there is no bus line from Mallorca to any city in Spain. Please help me. Many thanks in advance!

We are on a cruise around the Med in October and we will be in Palma for a day. As we have already visited most of the places in Palma, we wanted to hire a car for the day and drive further afield. Can anyone advise which car hire companies are close to the Port.

I would be pleased if anyone could tell me how to get from the airport to the train that goes to Soller? Are there any trains from the airport?

We will arrive in the morning on Friday, 21 September, and would like to go to Soller and further on to Port de Soller as quickly as possible ;-)

I was wondering how long the main season in Mallorca lasts. Does it end in August already or does it last till september?

Im from Germany and I know that high school students from all, but 2 "Bundesländer" (states in Germany) are back in school by the end of August...can I expect the main season to be over in the first week of september?

I have a GSM modem for my laptop, and my question is: where can I buy a prepaid SIM-card with EDGE connectivity, and what are the rates? I can't seem to find anything like that on the operators' websites.

Does anybody know if you can get a better rate if you take sterling with you to mallorca and get it changed over there, the rates here are really poor at the moment.

I'm off to Palma Nova in August for two weeks, Can anyone help me with my question ? Are there any ATM machines in the area of Palma Nova or at least close walking distance that I can use to withdraw money from my bank account or is it easier just to take the amount of money I think im going to need ?????

We are travelling to Palma for 4 nights. We wanted to get around a bit and see th island. We were wondering how much a taxi into, say, Palma Nova would cost? Is it easy to get a taxi fom Palma to Palma Nova and back late at night. What would be the rough cost?

I am about to book a hotel at the northern coast of Mallorca, in Banyalbufar. It is said in the description that the hotel is situated right at the sea, but it is not mentioned whether there is access to the sea to swim. I am not looking for a wide sandy beach, but it would be frustrating to live by the sea and not able to swim there. Otherwise the hotel description sounds like perfect. Any tips on are welcome. Hi! I will be arriving in Palma June 29 2007. I plan around a 3 day stay on the island then plan to go to Valencia by ferry. I know advance bookings are required. Does anyone know if it would be ok to wait until I arrive to book my ferry to have some flexibility about when I leave the island? I don't want to book now without knowing how much I'll like the island - if I love it, I may want to stay an exta day or so. IF I book my ferry now, I won't have this flexibility. However, I've heard that if I don't book way in advance, I may have to wait a week just to get off the island.

Apparently the stadium has sold out of the tickets.
