San Salvador Tica bus and hotels
Posted: Tue December 12, 2006 02:21 PM UTC
My wife and I will be arriving after dark (9PM) at the San Salvador Ticabus station. We will be staying overnight and possibly an extra day before continuing on with ticabus. What is a good hotel to stay at, and will they come to the station to pick us up, or do we need to hire a taxi. If a taxi, is there a "safe" way for gringos to get a taxi after dark at the ticabus station?

Thanks,
Ron

San Salvador flying into San Salvador, want to be in Copan Ruinas next day, early as possible
Posted: Fri January 6, 2006 03:40 PM UTC
I'm having a lot of trouble finding any definitive bus schedules out of San Salvador anywhere on the web. I'm going to be in San Salvador on the afternoon of Jan 15, and want to be in Copan Ruinas, Honduras, by not later than noon on the 16th. the next day. The way I see it, there are three ways to go:
1. bus San Salvador-San Pedro Sula, then to Copan Ruinas
2. bus San Salvador-El Poy-Santa Rosa de Copan-La Entrada-Copan Ruinas
3. bus San Salvador-Guatemala City, then to Copan Ruinas
I just want to be sure I have enough time in Copan Ruinas, because I will be heading for Antigua on the 17th. Who knows which would be the best way to go?
Any specific bus information would be appreciated. Apparently Hedman-Alas is no longer running direct service between San Salvador and Copan.

San Salvador Bus Terminal
Posted: Sun June 19, 2005 05:34 PM UTC
Hi, I want to go from San Salvador to the border crossing of Guasaule (Nicaragua). I don't want to go to Managua, just a town near Guasaule, so my questions are, from which bus station in San Salvador can I catch a bus to El Amatillo? How long does it take? How much does it cost? From el Amatillo is it easy to catch a bus to el Guasaule? How long does that take?
Thanks a million:)

San Salvador Best way to spend an evening in San Salvador?
Posted: Wed January 26, 2005 08:05 PM UTC
Hi,

Been digging around a bit for info and wanted to ask if folks have any suggestions for the best way to spend an evening in San Salvador?

My girlfriend and I will be there for an evening in mid April on a long layover (arriving 6ish pm, leaving early next morning).

We've never been to San Salvador so would love suggestions on hotels and activities to make the most of our evening there.

Thanks,
-James

San Salvador Looking for a place to stay..
Posted: Fri October 8, 2004 04:43 PM UTC
Hello to everyone!! I am in search of a place to stay in El Salvador. I am visiting in March 2005, and staying through June 2005. I have a friend that lives in San Salvador that I will be staying with for a short period of time. However, I am also looking for a place to stay on the beach. Preferably a beach house. I have been unsuccessful with the web-sites offered so far. Are there any sites that you can provide me that I may have better luck searching?
Location is not of an importance to me. I just want to make sure that I am somewhere on the ocean. Please help!!! Kindly, Dena
