Best all Inclusive resort? Posted: Sat August 4, 2007 04:45 PM UTC
My hubby and I are going in March of 08 to Punta Cana and are looking for the best all inclusive resort. I have looked into, Excellence, Sunscape, Paradisus Punta Cana, and Bahia Principe. We are looking for something that has lots to do. I have seen Excellence is great, but seems a bit far. ALso, at the end of March, are bugs an issue? ANy suggestions on all inclusives to stay that are top of the line or close to with lots to do or nearby stuff to do? THanks.

Christmas with 19 and 25 year olds Posted: Wed August 1, 2007 01:47 AM UTC
I'm looking for a good match for our family this Xmas. We're young-at-heart,active parents of a 19 collrgr student and 25 yo single professional. Is there a place in Punta Cana for us? We've been to Club Med...great for them, not enough stars for me. I like luxury, husband likes golf, both want kids to have a great time. Thanks! Other spots in the Carribean, Central America or Mexico would be okay, too,

A few questions Posted: Wed July 18, 2007 11:53 PM UTC
I plan on taking our company on a trip this winter to an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic and have a few questions regarding resorts and dining. I'd like to stay in Punta Cana somewhere at an all-inclusive that has a party type atmosphere, there will be about 60 of us ranging from 26-60 most are in their late 30's early 40's. Looking for one of the better places but pool/beach activities and bars/nightclubs are important. We would rather not have to leave the resort very often. Also, I've been doing alot of reading and it appears that most of the restaurants require men to wear pants to dinner, is this the policy at all the restaurants? or is only at the higher end restaurants?

Excellence Punta Cana....for honeymoon Posted: Fri July 13, 2007 10:45 PM UTC
My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for the middle of October, we like what we've read about Excellence Punta Cana, however, the pictures on the internet are making us nervous. Any info on this resort? Other all-inclusive resorts you'd suggest?
Thanks!

More Occidental Grand Info Please Posted: Sun June 24, 2007 03:46 PM UTC
Leaving in less than a week for Punta Cana and staying at the Occidental Grand. Are there specific dress requirements in the evenings? Are there activities for kids there? Do they supply bottled water? Is the bozze "top shelf" such as Stoli, Absolut, etc., or rather basic? Any info is appreciated!

Punta cana- all inclusive resort-single girl Posted: Thu March 15, 2007 06:36 AM UTC
Hi guys, my friend and I planned on going to this all inclusive, very romantic 5 star hotel right on the beach. His visa situation got complicated and he can't leave US or he won't be able to enter and we don't think this can be finalized before the trip which is March 23-25 (next weekend). Has anyone traveled to Punta Cana alone and stayed in the all inclusive hotel or similar? I hate to imagine I'd be the only single girl in a whole hotel, I have a feeling places like that are filled with couples more than singles. Any comments would be appreciated and you can also write directly to mayka06851@hotmail.com
tnx guys

Majestic hotel Food - Good bad or Ugly? Posted: Wed March 14, 2007 04:29 PM UTC
Hi All - I read a few bad reviews on trip advisor about the Majestic Hotel. I'm going in July with a group of 10 adults and 5 children. Has anyone been there and sampled the food? If you can give me feedback - that would be really appreciated!
Thanks

Single girl, 36, place to stay in Punta Cana Posted: Tue March 6, 2007 11:54 AM UTC
I'm going to Punta Cana on business March 21-25. I'd like to stay over a couple extra days on my own after the conference to relax, but can't stay at the $$$ 5-star resort where the conference is.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a safe, fun, inexpensive ($150 or less/night) all-inclusive where I can chill -- hopefully without all families, honeymooners -- for a couple nights.
Thanks!

Hotels Biased Towards Adults Posted: Tue February 27, 2007 07:06 PM UTC
Hey there,
We'll be heading down to PC in April/May and are trying to decide on a hotel. We would like a hotel that is more bias toward the adults. Any hotels that are adult only or not very family orientated? No disrespect, but neither one of us has children.

Advice on May Trip for Mom Posted: Fri February 23, 2007 03:41 PM UTC
I'm new here and appreciate any advice for a trip I'm helping to plan for my mother and two of her dear friends. All three are considered seniors and have some health problems. They are interested in going to Punta Cana for a one week vacation in May. I have found a pretty good deal from Apple Vacations. We were about ready to book it when I came across some alarming posts on TripAdvisor about some food borne illnesses. Is this a common thing in Punta Cana? It doesn't seem like it's just related to one hotel either. I really want my mother and her friends to be well advised before they have thier hearts completely set on going there. Can anyone give me some first hand advice, or a link? Thanks so much in advace.

Iberostar Dominicana or Ocean Sands Posted: Mon February 5, 2007 04:57 PM UTC
Anyone been to both these resorts. If so which is best? Both look very good in the brochure, but that can be very misleading!
I understand both resorts share their facilities with sister hotels, and am somewhat concerned as to the actual size of resorts & numbers of people there. I am to travel mid July, and hate having to rise early in order to play the towel game (all nationalities are guilty of this!). Also concerned as to the availability in the a-la-cartes.
Please Help!
