Hello,
Has anyone ever eaten at Tedone? If so, please tell me a little bit about your experience, the food, service, price, location, atmosphere, etc.
How would I get there from the city centre, bus, or taxi and approx. cost?
Address: Corta, 10, San Sebastian - Donostia 20001
Thanks!

Any Affordable Restaurants in San Sebastian??? Posted: Sun July 26, 2009 06:10 PM UTC
Hello!
Does anyone have any recommendations for afforable places to eat regional food in San Sebastian? My budget will allow me to eat at perhaps one Michelin rates restaurant while there for several days. So, what and where else do I eat?
Thanks for your suggestions!

Return train travel from Barcelona to San Sebastian Posted: Sun April 5, 2009 09:15 PM UTC
Hi
I'm going to be in Barcelona for a week or so in May and want to visit a friend living in San Sebastian on the weekend of 16 & 17 May. Has to be the weekend because he works during the week and wants to show me around. I've looked at the Spanish trains website www.renfe.es and although (with the help of lovely Isa) the first page can be seen in English, when you get to the next page it is in Spanish and I become totally lost. I can figure some things out like that you can save a euro or two by purchasing on internet rather than station but that's about all. Don't understand about the period section etc.
I would just like a bit of help or advice in getting from Barcelona to San Seb and back by train if possible. Want to have as much of Saturday and Sunday in San Seb as possible so I figure an overnight train would be good. i would definitely want a sleeping compartment where I could lie down, sleeping sitting up is not an option for me due to bad back.
If anyone has done this trip or can offer advice I would be very grateful. Maybe there is an easy to navegate website in English or a agent site.
Is there even an overnight train? I'll be in Barcelona from Wednesday 13 or Thursday 14 so if it's likely that there will be plenty of space I am happy to buy tickets at the station a day or two ahead instead of pruchasing them now, to save the hassle of going through the renfe.es confusion.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thank you
Anita

First Trip to Spain! Posted: Wed February 25, 2009 11:40 PM UTC
My husband and I are planning our first trip to Spain in April or May of this year. We plan on flying into Madrid and staying one night...then renting a car and driving to Barcelona..not sure how many nights to stay or which luxury hotel to book? Then we planned on driving on to San Sebastian but not sure how long to stay or which luxury hotel to book? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as our itinerary is very flexible. Thank you!

Restaurant in San Sebastian Posted: Mon September 1, 2008 07:01 PM UTC
I'm trying to find a restaurant I went to last year in San Sebastian. It was out near the university, near to a Citroen garage. In an Industrial area. It was run by a husband & wife. The husband was the chef and the wife worked front of house. The chef had worked at Arzak.
It was very good and I would like to go back.
If anyone can work out which restaurant I mean please contact me.
Regards
Martin

San Sebastian to Italy (Florence) Posted: Tue May 20, 2008 10:35 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm intending to get travel by land (preferably by train) from San Sebastian to Italy (Florence to be exact) in June. I wondered if anyone has done this or can tell me if it is possible to do easily. I've never traveled by train in Europe so not sure how easy it is. Looking at raileurope.com it looks very possible but could involve lots of changes. Could I do it in a day?
Any help most welcome

Driving from San Sebastian to Zaragoza Posted: Tue March 4, 2008 02:57 AM UTC
Was hoping that someone could help me plan a drive from San Sebastian to Zaragoza.
How long would it take to make the drive if I passed through Pamplona and detoured to Jaca & Huesca, before heading into Zaragoza? It seems like the drive thru Tudela would be quicker but not as pretty. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Any suggestions for places to stop during the drive?

Plaza de la Constitucion Posted: Tue October 23, 2007 07:55 PM UTC
When was the earlier bullring on this site transformed into the Plaza?
My Grandfather told me a story about going to San Sebastian from Aldudes, France about 1900-1902 during a Basque Festival (might have been San Fermin) and running with the bulls with his brothers. What might have been the route of the running? Perhaps Calle San Jeronimo or Calle Narrica? He met my Grandmother at the dancing at the Festival and was a little sketchy on the details of the bull running. More important things on his mind, I would guess.
Thank you for your review and response.

Hey all...
Just wondering does anyone know of a bus company that can transfer a group 17 people from Biarritz airport to San Sebastian in November and give us a return transfer back to the airport again..I've looked at a couple of websites but it seems impossible to get transfers between France and Spain.I found one company but they were only able to take 16 people...any help on this query would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks a million.

Are Shops Open On Mondays? Posted: Sun September 16, 2007 03:01 PM UTC
Hi,
My wife wants to go to San Sebastian on Monday September 24th to visit clothes shops so I thought it best to insure it's not a bank holiday as we have been caught-out in the past.
Would be grateful for confirmation that the shops will be open and particularly on Mondays.
Thanks.

Parking a rental car in San Sebastian Posted: Thu August 16, 2007 04:48 PM UTC
Hello all,
We'll be driving from Madrid up to the San Sebastian area in October. Are we going to have a problem finding a hotel with parking in San Sebastian? Or, should we stay somewhere outside of San Sebastian? But, then we will still have the problem of where to put our car when we visit San Sebastian.
Help, please.
Thanks!
