Hi My husband and I will be staying in SItges for a week at the end of May and are really looking forward to it. My question is, we are attending the MotoGP at the Catulunya CIrcuit on our last day. We need to get from Sitges to Montmelo but we also need to be able to leave our luggage somewhere and be at the airport at about 7pm. We were thinking of leaving our luggage at either the airport or at Sants train station, then going on to the circuit and calling back for our luggage. We will not have a car. Does this sound logistically possible , are there any other ways of achieving all this in one day?

Does the Monbus leave from both terminals at Barcelona airport or just terminal 1 ? Also can you pay the driver, or do you have to buy ticket elsewhere ?

When boarding the train to Sitges at El Prat llobergrat station should I get the one that says Sant Calders or the Vilanova one? I read that the Sant Calders one might not go through Sitges as it may go inland. Also how frequent are the trains ? I'll be travelling on a Sunday evening 5:30

What time do the supermarkets close on Sundays? Or even the small shops that sell groceries and alcohol?

We are a group of seven teenage girls going to Sitges on our holiday for a week at the beggining of August! At the moment we are really apprehensive at the fact that all we are seeing is gay bars and clubs! We are tolerant of gay people but we are a bit scared that all the clubs will be heavily gay and may not even allow us in. If anyone who has been there could please give us the names of clubs and bars that we should go to and that we would probably like.. thankyou!!!!! :)

Hi this is our first time to Sitges and want to know how hot is hot around the end of August. What time does the beach start filling up in the mornings? I have so many questions I do not know where to start so any tips and suggestions on how to plan our days, where to eat, anything at all will be helpful.

Thank you

We would like to take a holiday in Sitges at at gay or gay friendly holtel early in the year, probably March, April or May. Can anyone recommend very good, but not too expensive hotel / accommodation. Also when does the Sitges holiday season start. We would not want to be there if half the place is not open for business.

Hi

We are visiting Barcelona for a week in early April. Wondering if Sitges is worth a visit for a day or overnight. It'd likely be a weeknight. During the day we'd like to stroll around, but at night it'd be fun to visit some bars that have people around. Is it dead in April?

I am looking for a good location to spend a weekend away with my husband in June. I am looking for nice pavement bars where we can sit and people watch (perfection would be in a nice old town square),a bit of local shopping, nice local restaurants, bit of sunbathing etc. Do you think Sitges fits the bill? What would you do if you had a weekend to spend in Sitges? Thank you VTers!

I love modern art, jazz and classical music, walking, architecture.....and am planning to be in Sitges in January or Feb 2011. Are there any walking tours, or low key guides that anyone could recommend. I will NOT be there over the weekend but rather Monday-Friday. I speak French and English but little Spanish

am visiting Barcelona next week and i have 1 day to get out of the city in a day trip. my initial plan was to visit montserrat and then found that there is a tour that includes both montserrat and sitges, so i have decided of doing this on my own although i know that sitges needs one full day but i am kinda stuck in time.

my plan goes as follows:
head to montserrat from barcelona by train in the early morning even to avid the crowds, spend there like 3 hours and then go to sitges and spend the r5est of the day overthere
i would like to know the following
- is there a connecting train from montserrat to sitges??
- how long does it take???
- i heared that there are carnivals on both sundays and tuesdays??? is this true?
- which one is more intresting??
- usually when does the carnival starts???
- when is the last train from sitges back to barcelona

i hope you can help me out with this- thanks in advance

Hello,
we're going with 10 girls to Sitges the last week of September.
Are the bars and clubs still open (because September is not in 'season' anymore)? And is nightlife fun for girls? Because I read it's a 'gay-city'and there are many gay-clubs/bars. But are there also 'normal' clubs/bars that are open the last week of september 2010?

Hi,

I will come in Barcelona with a train from Madrid. However, my train will come in Barcelona almost midnight (around 11:20 p.m.). I need to go directly to Sitges for a conference.

How about taking a taxi from Barcelona train station to Sitges? Are there possibility some taxi driver that like to go to Sitges almost midnight? How much doest it cost approximately?

If I like to continue using a train from Barcelona to Sitges after 11 p.m., is it still possible?
Is it difficult to get taxi in Sitges station to go to my hotel?

I really appreciate the answers.

Thank you,

Andri Lubis

Hey. I;m organising a hen party in Sitges in August and I wanted to find out which are the best clubs to go to on Friday and Saturday nights for dancing/drinking/general hanging out. I know that L'Atlantida and Pacha are both popular, but which is the best on which night (for a big group of girls)? Any recommendations or tips would be great. Thanks J

I'm interested in renting a nicely furnished 2 BR/2 Bath apartment for a month, either September, October or mid-September to mid-Ocober. We'd like a place with A/C, phone, cable TV, high-speed internet access, a pool, parking, preferably on the beach, with security. The nicer the better.

Hello
I'm thinking of booking an apartment through www.sitgesholidayaccommodation.com. The pictures look good on their website; however, I'm a little concerned about paying a deposit to a company that I simply found on the internet. Can anybody give me any further information about / experiences with Sitges Holiday Accommodation?
Thanks!

Hi,

I shall be in Sitges at the start of September. Are the beaches swimmable then ? Whats the weather like in general in September? How far is the Hotel Plajador from the beach and the train station ? Anyone ever been a guest at the above hotel ? Thanks for any assistance you can give to me. Phil

Hi there,

does anyone know where the night busses leave from the centre of Barcelona? And they don't run in off season. When does the tourist season start? I am leaving on the 12th June.

Thanks!
