I wonder if the area around El Pico is open now to hikers? I realize when open it is with escort.Has anyone made this trek lately?Thanks

We will be returning to Marea on Dec 1st. While there last year, Manuel said he needed a tire and tube for his sons bike. I'm thinking it was 20". If anyone is coming or going before we do, please advise.
