Has anyone used Drive Barbados for car hire? They have quite reasonable rates but can't find any reviews anywhere and aren't listed on any websites - just a bit concerned whether they're a scam?

hi, can you please tell me which bus to take from Bridgetown to Harrison cave and the location in Birdgetown to catch it? After the cave, can I walk from Harrison cave to the Welchman Hall Gully, or is there another bus to take?
On the return trip, do I just walk the reverse bus on opposite side of the road? How long is the waiting time? I am visiting from cruise ship from 8-5pm. Thanks very much |

Hi,
My husband and I will be returning to Barbados this December for the second time and can't wait. I came across a map a while back which had video's on it of the beaches - does anyone know its address? We are planning to stay for 2 weeks and spend a week exploring the sites and a week learning to scuba. thanks Gemma |

We also like doing a bit of sightseeing I have a look at a various ones but can't decide which would be the best I was told that the south/west is best, I have had a look at Turtle Beach Crystal Cove, Mango Bay, Waves. We are staying at the Hawkesbill in Antigua for a week first before going on to Barbados So if any one can advise I would appreciate it.

Hey everyone,
I won two round-trip tickets to anywhere in North America/The Carribean and I think I may bring my brother to Barbados. I'm 29, he's 27. We're from Montreal so we're used to a pretty good nightlife, and I was wondering if there is enough of that to last us a week (I really am not too familiar with the island). Also, I'd love to rent a car and explore the island, how many days would it take, approximately, to cover the entire thing? I've driven on the left before (in Bermuda, Jamaica and Australia) so no problems there. Are there a lot of opportunities to hike? We're not huge fans of surfing or diving so we'd be staying on the mainland mostly. |

My wife and I are planning ahead for a trip to Barbados and St Lucia for next winter. We are in our 50's and looking for somewhere peaceful, good beach, but also near bars and restaurants, but not too lively. We don't really want all inclusive. Our budget would be around $200 per night. Can anyone recommend an area and hotel? Also if anyone has done the twin centre stay Barbados and St Lucia any tips would be welcome. ie is it best to fly or catch a boat?

Hello, looking to travel to Barbados next year with some girlfriends. We are looking to have fun, party, eat, relax and shop. Wondering which part of Barbados is best for all of this, we are looking to travel in Mid-October. I was looking to stay at the Hilton, but not sure if it's the best place for nightlife.

What is the most popular tour, activity, or thing to do in Barbados? What is the "must do, and not to miss" if anything? We will be arriving via cruise ship for a day, and looking for options. Thank you.

Hi,
I booked a trip for October in Barbados. We are staying at Christ Church (Silver Point Hotel.) I realize that it's rainy season, however, I don't know just how bad the rain is there. Any input? Thank you kindly! |

I'm planning on visiting the island in late July 2011. I'm hoping to catch some Cropover festivities. Where's a good central place to stay? I was considering staying in the Christ Church/southern portion of the island. Does that make sense?
Also, I'd like to get around and I'm considering renting a car. |

My fiance and I are getting married in May 2011 and we are very confused as to what area we should stay in in Barbados.
We aren't into the whole all inclusive thing, we are much happier going room only/self catering. Our main priority is that we want to be somewhere with a bit of life, ie, a good selection of restaurants and bars in walking distance. I've looked at St Lawrence Gap (I think that's right?) and I think that might be a bit more commercialised than we're after. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which area of the island would suit us? Many thanks! |
